WHITE WOLF 2.0

Introduction

• Rich Thomas: Creative Director

• Eddy Webb: Senior Developer

CCP Transmedia

• Description: Transmedia, as we’re choosing to use it (and there are many different definitions out there), would be the taking an IP that is primarily in one medium and expanding the range of mediums it can be enjoyed in. For CCP’s purposes, that would be taking one of our MMO IPs and helping in the creation of projects that allow the fans to stay engaged with the property - keeping their heads still in that universe, although they’re not in front of their monitors.

• TL;DR Version: We make things that aren’t MMOs, including WW RPGs

Short History of the Transition

• Pre-Merger

• Traditional RPG book publishing treadmill not working

• Retailer/Distribution channels shrinking

• Book chains imploding

• WW begins to explore electronic publishing

Short History of the Transition

• Merger

• Color Vampire books

• We jump off the treadmill

• CCP has massive growth

• Massive growth has to be managed carefully and takes most of the corporate focus

Short History of the Transition

• Post-Merger Growing Pains

• Try to get PoD going, but it falls apart

• Rich and Eddy go to MMO land

• Many projects within CCP, including WW’s, need loving care in order to happen
