Hi everyone, No Assembly Tomorrow Due to Production rehearsal there will be no assembly tomorrow. Fathers/Special Person Day Stall Thank You On behalf of the school and Parents & Friends can I take this opportunity to thank families for their donations and gifts for the stall last Friday. A huge thanks to our P&F representatives for wrapping and selling the gifts at the stall. We hope all the dads enjoyed their day and gifts. Total raised was $1336, of which $200 will be donated to the Prostrate Cancer Foundation and the remainder will go to our General Fundraising. Sun Smart Reminder-‘It’s Hat Time of the Year Again’ A reminder to parents the school’s SunSmart policy requires students to wear hats from this week. All students will be required to wear their broad brimmed hats outdoors. Hats can be purchased from the school uniform shop for $13. All students without hats will need to be under the hat tree during breaks. NAPLAN Results Confidential student NAPLAN reports will be sent home early next week in a sealed envelope for all Grade 3 & 5 students who took part in the assessment in May. If parents wish to discuss the results witheir child’s teacher please make an appointment. Cyber Safety Week As part of E-Smart Week this week, the Grade 5/6 area invested in a facilitator from the Alannah and Madeline Foundation to conduct cyber safety sessions with all Grade 3- 6 students. Repeat Messages Enrolments for 2020 At this stage, we have 79 students enrolled in Foundation (Prep) for next year. All siblings beginning next year and families living in the zone should have already completed a full enrolment form. 2020 Overseas Learning Experience (OSLE) to China Planning for next year’s OSLE to China has already begun. If you are interested in your child travelling to China next year, student expressions close at the end of this term. It is anticipated that the cost of the overseas experience will be approximately $3,000 and it will consist of a 12 day experience to Beijing, Shanghai and Suzhou. Tuesday 17th September. We strongly encourage families to

book as we believe all seats will be sold for this important

event in the school’s calendar.

PFG News Father’s / Special Person’s Day Stall

The Father’s / Special Person’s Day stall was held last Friday. Thank you to everyone who donated gifts so each of our 645 students

could purchase a present for a special person in their lives. Also, thank you to all the volunteers who helped to wrap the gifts, set up

for the stall, and of course run the stall. Your assistance and support are greatly appreciated.

Chocolate fundraiser.

Thank you for your assistance in raising funds for our school and school community.

Please ensure you return any unsold chocolates and money raised to the office.

Next Meeting

Our next meeting will be held on Monday 14th October at approximately 9.05am in the staffroom.

All newcomers are welcome to attend any meeting! You may bring along younger siblings to our meetings as well. Come and

have morning tea with us, a chat and a laugh, and find out what we do around the school.

All orders must be in the day before Orders are to be written on a large paper lunch bag unless

ordered through Qkr, (NO ENVELOPES), one per child.

Lunch bags are available for 10 for 60c or 10c each, with lunch

orders and will be sent home.
