Landscaping Updates
• Current company (Professional Grounds) has been unable/unwilling to maintain turf areas. Plantings done by Professional Grounds are not doing well – their own representative questioned the types of plants used
• Suggest going with Blade Runners at same price, see if we can get better results
• Need to improve front sign area ($5000)• Need to create drainage and garden area at side of
Buttonwood top sidewalk ($1000)• Need to get significant soil and turf improvements on
Buttonwood Hill and behind lower Buttonwood homes
Parking Lot improvements
• Suggestions have been made to remove some parking islands and install new guest spots– Estimates range from $5,000-10,000 per spot, cluster does not have
the resources to do this
• Several owners have suggested adding stripes to the parking spots– Board was waiting until next scheduled parking lot seal (2013) to have
the spaces re-measured, striped, and numbers repainted, but if there is enough interest (and the estimates are in line with budget realities) we could do this earlier
– Requires a day or more of all cars parking at South Lakes High school
