Who is Happy ??? What is Happiness ?? A Crow Lived in the Forest and was absolutely satisfied in life. But one day he saw a swan... This swan is so white and I am so black...crow thought. This swan must be the happiest bird in the world. He expressed his thoughts to the swan. "Actually," the swan replied, "I was feeling that I was the happiest bird around until I saw a parrot, which has two colors. I now think the parrot is the happiest bird in creation." The crow then approached the parrot. The parrot explained, "I lived a very happy life—until I saw a peacock. I have only two colors, but the peacock has multiple colors." The crow then visited a peacock in the zoo and saw that hundreds of people had gathered to see him. After the people had left, The crow approached the Peacock.. Dear Peacock, You are so beautiful. Every day thousands of people come to see you. When people see me, they immediately shoo me away. I think you are the happiest bird on the planet. The peacock replied, I always thought that I was the most beautiful and happy bird on the planet. But because of my beauty, I am entrapped in this zoo. I have examined the zoo very carefully, and I have realized that the crow is the only bird not kept in a cage. So for past few days I have been thinking that if I were a crow, I could happily roam everywhere. That's our problem too. We make unnecessary comparison with others and become sad. We don't value what has God given us. This all leads to the vicious cycle of unhappiness. Value the things god has given us. Learn the secret of being happy and discard the comparison which leads only to unhappines.. .

Funny how you can always tell when somebody's laughing behind your back. Jodie hadn't really heard anything, maybe a whisper, but when she turned around, the girls in the back row of the class were looking at her, trying to hide smiles and giggles. She looked back at her teacher. Mr Swales was talking about what people do all day. He also wanted to find out what his students wanted to be when they grew up. He called on Billy Mitzer first.

"My daddy works in a bank," Billy Mitzer said. "I guess I want to work in a bank too. There's lots of money in the bank."

"My parents have a grocery store," Emmy DiSalvo said. "Papa's behind the counter and Mama keeps the cash register. But I want to be an airline pilot."

Jodie liked it when Mr Swales asked them questions like this. He was about to call on Jodie when the girls in the back row burst out laughing.

Shirley Danes yelled, "Jodie's Daddy is a garbageman! Pee-yoo!"

Everybody in the class laughed out loud. Everybody except Jodie, that is. She felt her face turn bright red. She looked around the whole classroom. Everyone was laughing. Some kids were even holding their noses.

Jodie looked at Mr Swales. He was angry. He almost never raised his voice, but now he did.

"Silence! I want everybody quiet this instant."

The laughter stopped immediately. The sound of cars and people going by out on the street came through the windows. "You should be ashamed of yourselves," Mr Swales said. "Being a garbageman...I mean, er, uhm...a Sanitation Engineer, is a difficult and enormously useful job. We should all be grateful to Mr. Harris. Where would we be without him? Up to our ears in garbage, that's where. How would you like that?"

"Pee-yoo!" somebody said. A few kids started laughing again.

"It's not funny," Mr. Swales went on. "Garbage is a serious matter. I think you all owe Jodie an apology. And after that, you're all going to write Jodie's father, Mr Harris, a nice letter to tell him how much you appreciate what he does for all of us. In other words, keeping our city clean."

< 2 > Moans and groans. Everyone said "Sorry, Jodie" but Jodie could tell they didn't really mean it. She also knew nobody wanted to write her father a letter. She wished Mr Swales wouldn't make them do it. Her face was burning red and she felt like crying. Mr Swales came to her desk and patted her shoulder. "Let's go out in the hall while everyone's writing those letters so we can have a private talk."

Jodie started crying out in the hall. She didn't want to cry in front of everybody, but she couldn't hold back any more. Mr Swales was tall. He knelt and gave her his handkerchief to blow her nose. "I'm sorry this happened," he said. "But remember, hard work done well is something to be proud of. There's nothing wrong with being a garb...a sanitation engineer, absolutely not."

Jodie's father came to walk her home from school as usual. She didn't run up to him the way she always did. When they were up in their apartment, Jodie went to her little room and cried for a good long time before she did her homework. Her father must've heard her.

He came into her room. "What happened, Jodie? Why are you so sad?"

Jodie didn't want to tell him at first. She was embarrassed and didn't want to hurt her father's feelings. Her father sat on the bed, put his hand on her shoulder. "It's OK, sweetie. You can tell me. You can tell me everything, you know. But you don't have to tell me your secrets, if you don't want to. Is this a secret?"

"It's not a secret. The other kids laughed at me because you're a garbageman. They said your job was dirty and you smelled bad. They said I smelled bad too."

Jodie looked at her father. He didn't seem angry, hurt or sad. His big white teeth gleamed under his walrus moustache. "Well then," he said. "I guess those kids just don't know how much fun it is to be a garbageman."

< 3 > For some reason, that made Jodie start crying again. Her father hugged her tight. "Tell me honestly, Jodiedo I smell bad?"

Jodie sniffed. "You smell good, like laundry soap."

"Come on, Jodie. You can tell your old garbageman Daddy he stinks."

Jodie smiled too. "I mean it. You smell nice. You always smell nice."

"Your friends at school were right, though. Being a garbageman is a dirty job. Garbage isfilthy. Every day I see stuff so disgusting it'd make your head spin. And man, does it ever stink! But then me and the guys I work with come along, grab the slimy, stinking garbage and throw it in the truck. The truck's a big green monster who growls and gulps nasty garbage. Then everything's nice and clean, the way we like it. And when I get home, I take a long hot shower so I'm clean as the day I was born. I like my job, Jodie. And I like the people I work with, too."

Jodie's mother yelled dinner was ready.

"Tell you what, Jodie. Tomorrow's Saturday, but as you know, sometimes I work on Saturdays. Go to bed extra-early tonight and tomorrow you'll come to work with me. I want you to see what your garbageman daddy does."

Jodie was of two minds as she fell asleep. She was excited her father was going to take her to work, but wasn't sure she wanted to see or touch disgusting, stinking garbage.

Next thing she knew her father opened her window to let morning air into her room. It was still dark outside. Her father picked her up out of bed. "Look Jodie," he whispered. "Most people don't get to see this."

Off in the dark distance, Jodie saw clouds slightly pink underneath. City lights shimmered. The horizon line beyond the river glowed blue and green. Jodie pulled on jeans and a sweatshirt and was ready to go.

< 4 > "We'll get breakfast on the way to work," her father said.

The garbage trucks depot wasn't far away. The place really didn't smell too good. Jodie wrinkled her nose.

"Don't worry, kid. You'll get used to it. In five minutes you won't smell a thing. Your nose is smart enough to know when to turn itself off."

Men and women were at work in the depot even though it was so early in the morning. Everybody was yelling and the truck engines were loud, but they seemed to be having a good time. Garbagemen and garbagewomen came over to say hello to Jodie. They said her father was a nice guy.

Big Al was Jodie's daddy's partner. He drove the truck. Big Al, as his name implied, was big. He had an unlit cigar in the side of his mouth, didn't say much.

Jodie's father handed her a thick pair of gloves.

"We're going to ride in back today, Jodie. The thing to remember ishold on tight. Big Al will go slow, but you have to hang on until he stops. If you're scared, tell me. Then I'll drive instead and you can ride up front with me."

Jodie said, "I'm not scared," but she was, just a little.

Jodie held on tight. She held on so tight she almost didn't notice the smell of sour, rotten oranges, lemons, banana peels and coffee grounds coming from the back of the garbage truck. They rode nearly twenty blocks before the first stop. Jodie watched cars, people and trees shoot by. She looked up at buildings and early morning blue sky.

Big Al stopped the truck. Jodie and her Daddy jumped off. On the curb was a big pile of plastic bags full to bursting with foul, reeking garbage, metal garbage cans with the lids barely on. "I'll get the big stuff, Jodie. You get the little plastic bags and throw them in the truck hard as you can. I mean really throw them."

< 5 > Jodie's Daddy was strong. He picked up garbage bags that looked like they weighed 500 pounds and tossed them into the garbage truck like nothing. He hoisted garbage cans, shook and slammed them against the back of the truck until they were empty. She heard bottles crash, tin cans crunch. The garbage truck took and gobbled garbage. Pretty soon no more garbage was left. Jodie helped put the garbage cans back where they belonged, then she and her Daddy grabbed the iron rails on the back of the truck and they took off again.

Big Al drove slowly, as promised, but as soon as Jodie and her Daddy hit the ground everything went fast.

At one stop, Jodie's dad held up a sagging gray garbage bag. "Hey Jodie, feel this. It's totally gross."

Jodie gave the bag a squeeze. Something inside was oh-so-squishy. "Ew! Feels like overcooked spaghetti! Lots and lots of overcooked spaghetti. What is it, Daddy?"

"Ahwe'll never know, will we? All part of the mystery of garbage, honey." He threw the garbage bag into the truck and the truck snaffled it down, whatever it was.

Picking up garbage and throwing it in the truck was fun, but also hard work. Jodie's arms got tired. That's when her Daddy said, "Time for lunch." Big Al honked the horn and headed for the diner.

"Wash your hands extra carefully, Jodie," her Daddy said.

Jodie had a cheeseburger and a vanilla milkshake. She thought it was fun to eat lunch at ten o' clock in the morning.

Big Al and Jodie's Dad had coffee and then it was time to get back to work. Jodie couldn't believe how much dirty, filthy garbage fit in the truck. Finally it was full.

"Time to hit the dump," Jodie's yelled.

Big Al honked the horn again. Off they went. The dump was way out of town. Big Al drove faster. Jodie held on tight. She was excited to see the world race by, the road whizzing along under her feet.

< 6 > The garbage dump was huge. You could smell it from a mile away. They drove through a gate in a big chain-link fence. Jodie wondered why there was a fence. Who steals garbage?

Seagulls flew all over the dump. They screamed, cawed and fought, in the air and on the ground. They found stuff to eat at the garbage dump. The fence couldn't keep them away.

Jodie and her Daddy got off and watched Big Al drive the truck to the top of the garbage heap.

Big Al got out, took the cigar butt out of his mouth and yelled, "Hey Jodie! C'mon up here! How'd you like to dump garbage today?"

Jodie got to sit in the driver's seat. Big Al showed her which buttons to push. The back of the truck rose until the garbage spilled out. Jodie pulled the cord to honk the horn. Seagulls flew away screaming.

When the truck was empty, Big Al took over. He and Jodie drove down the garbage heap again. Jodie and her Dad rode in the front with him on the way back to town. Jodie was tired but happy.

"Now comes the best part of the job, Jodie. While almost everyone else is still working, I get to go home, clean myself up, give your mother a big kissand then I get to come pick you up at school every ding-dong day. That's mainly why I like being a garbageman so much."

Jodie gave her dirty, smelly garbageman daddy a big kiss. She said, "When I grow up, I want to be a garbageman too. Just like you and Big Al."

Jodie's Daddy said, "There's plenty of time to decide, Jodie. We can talk about it later."

Big Al took the cigar out of his mouth. "You're a nice little girl, Jodie. I wish I had a daughter like you." When they got back to the depot, Jodie gave him a kiss too.

< 7 > Whenever someone asks Jodie what her Daddy does for a living, she says, "He's a garbageman!" And if they say "Ew!" she says, "Everybody makes garbage, but my Daddy takes it all away."

"Clay Balls"A man was exploring caves by the seashore. In one of the caves he found a canvas bag with a bunch of hardened clay balls. It was like someone had rolled clay balls and left them out in the sun to bake. They didn't look like much, but they intrigued the man so he took the bag out of the cave with him.As he strolled along the beach, he would throw the clay balls one at a time out into the ocean as far as he could. He thought little about it until he dropped one of the balls and it cracked open on a rock. Inside was a beautiful, precious stone.Excited the man started breaking open the remaining clay balls. Each contained a similar treasure. He found Crores of Rupees worth of jewels in the 20 or so clay balls he had left. Then it struck him. He had been on the beach a long time. He had thrown maybe 50 or 60 of the clay balls with their hidden treasure into the ocean waves.Instead of Crores of Rupees in treasure,he could have taken home tens of Lakhs n lakhs, but he just threw it away.***It's like that with people. We look at someone, maybe even ourselves, and we see the external clay vessel. It doesn't look like much from the outside. It isn't always beautiful or sparkling so we discount it. We see that person as less important than someone more beautiful or stylish or well known or wealthy. But we have not taken the time to find the treasure hidden inside that person by God.There is a treasure in each and every one of us. If we take the time to get to know that person, and if we ask God to show us that person the way He sees them, then the clay begins to peel away and the brilliant gem begins to shine forth.May we not come to the end of our lives and find out that we have thrown away a fortune in friendships because the gems were hidden in bits of clay.May we see the people in our world as God sees them.

The Moutain Range (Horror)A week ago, I was driving home and my young daughter was in the car with me. I was in a hurry, so I decided to take a shortcut that led us down a lonely mountain road. All of a sudden, in the middle of nowhere, the engine started to splutter and the car ground to a halt. When I took out my mobile phone, I realized that I had no signal. We were completely stranded, deep in the mountains. I had no idea how to fix the car and it was growing dark. There was no gas station for miles and the road was not used very often. It was clear that we would have to spend the night in the car and hope that some passing motorist would stop and give us a ride. The sun was going down and it was beginning to get very cold. An eerie silence descended over the mountain and all I could hear was the wind rustling through the trees. My daughter went to sleep in the passenger seat. I closed my eyes and was starting to drift off as well, when I heard a strange noise. It sounded like a voice.I couldnt make out what it was saying. It sounded like gibberish.Tensu Metsu! Tensu Metsu! Tensu Metsu! At first, I thought I was dreaming, but as it got closer and closer, I opened my eyes and looked around.Tensu Metsu! Tensu Metsu! Tensu Metsu!A dark figure was approaching the car. All I could see was a silhouette. It looked like a man and he seemed to be dragging his foot.Tensu Metsu! Tensu Metsu! Tensu Metsu!I looked down at my daughter. She was still asleep. I didnt want to wake her up.All of a sudden, the noise stopped. The eerie silence returned. Then, I looked up and got the fright of my life. I had to stop myself from screaming out loud.Standing at the passenger window was the most hideous figure I have ever seen. It looked like a man, but his face was so twisted and contorted that it formed a frightening visage. He was horribly deformed. It was as if every piece of skin on his face had been peeled off and all that was left was bloody red muscle and sinew. He had no nose. He had no ears. his piercing eyes stared at me through the glass.I turned the key in the ignition again and again and tried to start the car, but it was no use. The engine just chug-chug-chugged and died.Outside the window, the hideous man took out a knife. He began chanting over and over to himself.Tensu Metsu! Tensu Metsu! Tensu Metsu! Each time he said it, he stabbed the window with the knife, hitting it harder and harder each time. I kept trying to start the car. Tears were streaming down my face. I was desperate to get out of there.Tensu Metsu! Tensu Metsu! Tensu Metsu!Suddenly, there was a loud crash and the passenger window shattered. Broken glass showered all over my daughter. I screamed hysterically. The mans arm came through the window and he brandished the knife, lashing out at me.Tensu Metsu! Tensu Metsu! Tensu Metsu!Just then, I turned the key one last time and the engine sprang to life. I floored the accelerator and the car tore out of there like a bat out of hell. I sped off down the narrow mountain road, leaving the hideous man far behind.I didnt know where we were going, I just kept driving and driving, never daring to look back.Thats when I noticed my daughter hadnt moved. When I looked down at her, I could see she was muttering something to herself.Tensu Metsu Tensu Metsu Tensu MetsuA chill ran down my spine. Her face was pale and she was trembling. I shook her, trying to wake her up, but when she opened my eyes, what I saw horrified me.Her eyes were rolled back in her head. All I could see were the whites of her eyes. Her teeth were gritted together and she was foaming at the mouth. Her face had changed. She didnt even look like my daughter anymore. She just kept growling over and over:Tensu Metsu! Tensu Metsu! Tensu Metsu!I kept driving and finally I saw the city lights up ahead. We came to a church and I pulled over to the side of the road. Scooping my daughter up in both arms, I carried her into the church and started screaming for help.An old priest appeared from a doorway and asked what was wrong. I told him about the thing I had encountered on the mountain road. He took one look at my daughter, then snatched her from my arms and laid her out on the church altar. As I watched, crying and shaking with fear, he took out some rosary beads and held the little wooden cross to my daughters forehead. Then, he started reciting prayers in Latin. The priest let us stay there for the night. He put my daughter in a spare bed and stayed up with her all night long, holding her hand, anointing her with holy water and reciting prayers over her. He placed a bible on her chest and a scapula around her neck.He told me my daughter was possessed by a demon and he had to try to perform an exorcism. He said that if it was not done and my daughter stayed like this for 49 days, she would never recover. She would be left permanently insane. The priest instructed me to leave my daughter with him so that he could perform the necessary rituals. He said that if I stayed, there was a good chance the demon could possess me as well.It has been a week since my daughter was possessed and the priest is still taking care of her. I check on her every day. Its like she isnt even my daughter anymore. She smirks and looks at me with indescribably horrible eyes.I just want my daughter back.If you ever find yourself on a lonely mountain road, whatever you do, dont stop

THE SECRET TO A HAPPY MARRIED LIFE-Once I asked my friend, "What is the secret behind your Happy Married Life?"He said "You should share responsibilities with due love and respect each other. Then absolutely there will be no problems."I asked "Can you explain?"He said "In my house, I take decisions on bigger issues where as my Wife decides on smaller issues. We do not interfere in each other's decisions."Still not convinced, i asked him "Give me some examples".He said "Smaller issues like, which car we should buy, how much amount to save, when to visit the super market, when & where to go on vacation, which sofa, air conditioner, refrigerator to buy. Monthly expenses, whether to keep a maid or not etc. Are all decided by my wife. I just agree to it "I asked "Then, what is your role?"He said "My decisions are only for very big issues. Like whether America should attack Iran, whether Britain should lift sanctions over Zimbabwe, whether to widen the Sri Lankan economy, whether Sachin Tendulkar should retire from Cricket , Whom should Salman Khan Marry. etc etc. and do you know, my wife, NEVER, objects to any of these decisions"

Mental PatientA young woman had just finished nursing school and, in need of experience, volunteered at the mental health clinic near her home. Because it was her first real job, she didnt have to deal with the really dangerous mental patients. Instead, they assigned her to work with the less violent patients. The suicidal people, the depressed, those who heard voices and those who never said anything at all.She worked with a lot of mental patients, but her favorite was an old man named Arthur. he was mute. He never said a word. He just sat in his chair and nodded his head. As the days passed by, she became very close to Arthur. He was a very good listener. She would talk to him for hours and he would just listen and nod his head. She told him about her parents, her friends, all her problems, everything that happened in her life. Most people would have been bored. But not Arthur. He just sat there and nodded as she moaned and complained and told him about all the little things that were bugging her in her life.Arthur just nodded. After several months of working with Arthur, the nurse decided that he didnt belong in an insane asylum. He couldnt be very happy, sitting in a room by himself nodding all day. That evening, she had a meeting with the supervisor of the clinic. She said that Arthur didnt pose a threat to anyone and asked for him to be allowed to leave the asylum and live on his own. He was a gentle soul. He was able to feed and groom himself. He deserved to be free.Theres nothing wrong with him, she said. Arthur just nods. The supervisor didnt agree with her, but the young nurse wasnt about to take no for an answer. Every day, after working with Arthur, she would corner the supervisor and argue with him about the pros and cons of releasing Arthur into the community.Eventually, the day came when her persistance paid off. The supervisor finally admitted defeat and agreed to let Arthur go. The young nurse was overjoyed and rushed to tell Arthur the good news. She told him he was free now. He could leave the clinic and live on his own.Arthur just nodded. She wrote her name and address on a piece of paper and thrust it into Arthurs hand. She kept telling him that she was really going to miss him. Most of all, she would miss talking to him every day.The young nurse told him to be sure to write to her as often as possible. She wanted to hear how things turned out for him after his release.Arthur just nodded. The nurse went home that evening, feeling very pleased with herself. She had finally managed to get Arthur free from the insane asylum. She told her parents and her sister the good news. Her months of hard work had finally paid off. When she went to bed that night, she fell asleep with a satisfied smile on her face.In the middle of the night, she was rudely awakened by the sound of screaming. It seemed to be coming from downstairs. Frightened, she gathered her wits about her. She jumped out of bed and bravely crept down the darkened staircase. There in the hall, she found the bodies of her mother, her father and her sister. They were lying in a pool of blood. As she bent over them, trying to see if they were still alive, she saw a shadow moving across the hallway. She looked behind her and was confonted by a large figure standing motionless in the doorway. The scream died in her throat. It was Arthur. He was just standing there, staring at her. His eyes were wild. In one hand, he held a bloody axe. In the other hand, he was holding a piece of paper. The same piece of paper on which she had written her name and address. The young nurse was shaking with fear. Arthur raised the axe above his head. His eyes were bugging out of their sockets. Are you here to kill me?, she croaked.Arthur just nodded.

Story Again This is a story I was told by a Japanese friend of mine. He swore it was the absolute truth, but he refused to tell me where exactly in Japan it all happened. He said that two people died and he was questioned many times by the police. At the time, he was 17 years old and had managed to find himself a summer job, working in a store that sold electrical goods. One day, after work, the manager of the store decided to bring all of the employees out for dinner. The restaurant they were going to was up in the mountains and, to get there, they had to cross an old suspension bridge that stretched across a deep valley. There were five of them in total, so they decided to take two cars. The manager drove the car in front, with two teenage boys inside. My friend drove the car behind and his colleague was in the passenger seat. They started out straight after work, but the manager took a wrong turn, so by the time they reached the suspension bridge, it was almost twilight. There was a light rain and the bridge was covered in a strange, wispy fog.The manager drove across the suspension bridge and my friend followed close behind in the other car. However, when they reached the center of the bridge, the managers car came to a sudden halt. The two people in the car behind were puzzled. They couldnt understand why their boss had stopped in the middle of the bridge. After waiting a few minutes, they began to get impatient. Since they showed no signs of moving, my friend was about to get out and see what the trouble was.Just then, they saw the rear door of the car in front open and the two boys who were sitting in the back seat got out. My friend opened his door and was about to ask them what was wrong, but the words died in his throat. He heard the boys screaming their lungs out. Suddenly, the two young men joined hands and started to run like crazy. They rushed over to the side of the suspension bridge and threw themselves over the guardrail.Horrified, my friend rushed over to the guardrail and peered over the side, but he couldnt see anything because of the mist. The drop was over 100 feet. Nobody could survive that. He stood there for a few moments in stunned silence, staring down into the foggy abyss. When he went over to check the car in front, he found the manager crouched over the steering wheel, gripping it so tightly that his knuckles were white. Tears were streaming down his face and he kept muttering under his breath, over and over, I want to do it but I cant do it I want to do it but I cant do it I want to do it but I cant do itMy friend called the police and when they arrived, they had to pry the managers hands off the steering wheel. They took him away in an ambulance, still muttering and gibbering as if he had taken leave of his sanity. Later that night, the bodies of the two young men were fished out of the river. My friend and his colleague were persistently questioned by the police, but they couldnt shed any light on the puzzling incident. The police seemed to think that it was some kind of weird suicide pact.A few months after that, my friend went to visit the store manager, who was recovering in a mental hospital. After some small talk, he turned the conversation to the strange events that had taken place that tragic summer night. The store manager beckoned him closer and whispered in his ear.He told him that, as they were driving across the suspension bridge, he was shocked to see a woman suddenly emerge from the fog. She stood right in front of the car and he had to slam on the brakes to avoid hitting her. The woman had long black hair and was dressed in a brilliant white shroud. All of a sudden, he noticed that the mist was creeping closer, encircling the car. Then, from the depths of the wisping fog, a group of children appeared. They were dressed in similar white shrouds and their faces were deformed and smeared with blood. Before they knew what was happening, the grotesque children surrounded the car and began beating on the windows and doors with their fists. The children began chanting, Join us come with us join us come with us join us come with usThe manager said that the childrens haunting voices echoed around in his head and he felt powerless to resist. He clung onto the steering wheel for dear life. At that moment, he dearly wanted to die, but some small part of him desperately wanted to live.He heard the boys in the back seat screaming as the children opened the door and dragged them out into the mist. The terrified manager had to fight the urge to join them in death. After hearing this story, my friend was shaking with fear. As he rose to leave, the manager grabbed him roughly by the arm and hissed, I think thats what happened, but dont tell the police. Theyll never believe you. Sometimes I dont even believe myself. Just promise me one thing Promise me that you will never attempt to cross that suspension bridge again, or theyll come for you and drag you to your death as well

Red RobeA girl traveled to Taiwan on holiday. She decided to stay in a cheap hotel to save money. When she got to her room and began to unpack, she realized that the hotel receptionist had given her room 66 on the 6th floor. A chill went down her spine. Technically, that was 666.While unpacking her things, she heard someone knocking the door to her room. She opened the door but there was nobody there. She poked her head out and looked around, but she did not see anyone in the corridor. The girl figured it was just her imagination, so she shut the door and resumed unpacking.Suddenly, there was another knock on the door. This time, when she opened the door, there was a woman standing outside wearing a red bathrobe. The strange woman was crying and shaking. She told the girl that she had accidentally locked herself out of her room. The strange woman also said that she was having problems with her hsband and she was really depressed and suicidal. The girl felt sorry for the strange woman, so she offered to go down to the lobby and get a replacement key for her from the hotel receptionist. However, when the girl took the elevator down to the lobby, it was empty. She did not find anyone at reception. She rang the bell on the desk and waited. After a few minutes, the receptionist appeared and the girl asked her for a replacement key for the room of the woman in the red robe.Receptionist: The woman in the red robe? What woman in a red robe?Girl: Oh, this strange woman, she came to my room because she got locked out of her own room.Receptionist: What are you talking about. We have only one guest staying on the 6th floor today and that is you.Girl: That cant be true! Can you check again?Receptionist: Oh, I know You may not believe this, but its true. There was a horrible tragedy. A few years ago, a woman was staying here. She was in room 66 on the 6th floor. The very room that you are staying in today. She and her husband split up and she wanted to commit suicide. But, in her madness, she decided that she wanted everyone in the hotel to die with her. So she put on a white robe and, carrying a shotgun, she went from floor to floor shooting people. There was so much blood everywhere. It was horrible. She was insane and there was so much blood that her white robe was stained red. Ever since that day, guests who stay on the 6th floor say they see her from time to time. The girl was speechless. The receptionist smiled as she walked out from behind the desk and pointed to a red stain on her own stomach.Receptionist: Look see! This is where she shot me!

Feeling for a mother is always same for everyoneOnce a time I got off the bus, I was shocked that my purse was stolen! There was nothing in my purse to worry, just 100 and one envelope with a letter which I wrote for my mother to say that "I lost my job....., I won't be able to send money this month....."The letter was in my pocket since one week, because I was not willing to send it to her that she would feel bad. Anyway that 150 was not a big amount.... but who has no job in this expensive city...... and who has to look his family.... for him....., its like 1000 rupees. After some days, I got a letter from my mother, I was afraid that she wrote for money.....! But I was shocked to read the letter, - "thank you son! I got your money 500 rupees. That you send to me."I kept thinking who would have sent that money to her....!!Some days passed, I again got another letter from my mother"Dear son, I got a letter, it has very small and bad hand writing, but I broke my glass, I can't read it properly so I am sending it to you".I opened the letter, it said -"I send 500 rupees to your mother.... adding 400 rupees with your 100 rupees.....After all mother is mother, why should she stay hungry! Anyway, as soon as possible look for a job and look after your motherYours pickpocketMoral: no matter what the profession is! Good or bad! The feeling for a mother is always same for everyone

This will Make You Cry...Daddy's Poem ----------------------Her hair was up in a pony tail, Her favorite dress tied with a bow. Today was Daddy's Day at school, And she couldn't wait to go.But her mommy tried to tell her, That she probably should stay home. Why the kids might not understand, If she went to school alone. But she was not afraid; She knew just what to say. What to tell her classmates Of why he wasn't there today. But still her mother worried, For her to face this day alone. And that was why once again, She tried to keep her daughter home. But the little girl went to school Eager to tell them all. About a dad she never sees A dad who never calls. There were daddies along the wall in back, For everyone to meet. Children squirming impatiently, Anxious in their seatsOne by one the teacher called A student from the class. To introduce their daddy, As seconds slowly passed. At last the teacher called her name, Every child turned to stare. Each of them was searching, A man who wasn't there.'Where's her daddy at?' She heard a boy call out. 'She probably doesn't have one,' Another student dared to shout. And from somewhere near the back, She heard a daddy say, 'Looks like another deadbeat dad, Too busy to waste his day.'The words did not offend her, As she smiled up at her Mom. And looked back at her teacher, Who told her to go on. And with hands behind her back, Slowly she began to speak. And out from the mouth of a child, Came words incredibly unique.'My Daddy couldn't be here, Because he lives so far away. But I know he wishes he could be, Since this is such a special day.And though you cannot meet him, I wanted you to know. All about my daddy, And how much he loves me so.He loved to tell me stories He taught me to ride my bike. He surprised me with pink roses, And taught me to fly a kite.We used to share fudge sundaes, And ice cream in a cone. And though you cannot see him. I'm not standing here alone.'Cause my daddy's al ways with me, Even though we are apart I know because he told me, He'll forever be in my heart'With that, her little hand reached up, And lay across her chest. Feeling her own heartbeat, Beneath her favorite dress. And from somewhere here in the crowd of dads, Her mother stood in tears. Proudly watching her daughter, Who was wise beyond her years. For she stood up for the love Of a man not in her life. Doing what was best for her, Doing what was right. And when she dropped her hand back down, Staring straight into the crowd. She finished with a voice so soft, But its message clear and loud.'I love my daddy very much, he's my shining star. And if he could, he'd be here, But heaven's just too far.You see he is a soldierAnd died just this past year When a roadside bomb hit his convoy And taught the world to fear. But sometimes when I close my eyes, it's like he never went away.' And then she closed her eyes, And saw him there that day.And to her mothers amazement, She witnessed with surprise. A room full of daddies and children, All starting to close their eyes.Who knows what they saw before them, Who knows what they felt inside. Perhaps for merely a second, They saw him at her side.'I know you're with me Daddy,' To the silence she called out. And what happened next made believers, Of those once filled with doubt. Not one in that room could explain it, For each of their eyes had been closed. But there on the desk beside her, Was a fragrant long-stemmed rose. And a child was blessed, if only for a moment, By the love of her shining star. And given the gift of believing, That heaven is never too far.GOD Bless the Military...

Clap ! ClapOne day, a young married couple went hiking in the mountains. As the sun began to set, they realized that they were lost. The wife was getting worried, but her husband tried to calm her down and assured her that they would eventually find their way back to their car. However, after walking for hours, they still had no idea where they were.It was growing dark and the man and wife were getting desperate. They didnt have a map or a compass with them and all of the trees looked the same. Just when they were about to give up hope, they came across an old cabin in a clearing. The cabin looked as if it had seen better days. It was dilapidated and seemed like it hadnt been used in a long time. Some of the windows were cracked and broken and a lot of the tiles had fallen off the roof. The husband knocked on the front door but there was no response. When he turned the handle, it slowly creaked open.Inside, they found it was in a bad state of disrepair. There was very little furniture and the floor was covered in a thick layer of dust. As the couple cautiously looked around, they noticed a strange atmosphere and a peculiar musty smell. The walls were covered from floor to ceiling with graffiti. Written in red paint, the words, Death! Death! Death! Death! Death! were repeated over and over again. The man and woman were unnerved. With a shaking hand, the husband reached out to touch the wall. He was horrified to find that the paint was not yet dry.The couple were very frightened, but they had nowhere else to go. They knew that the mountain was dangerous at night and there were lots of wild animals prowling the woods. Despite the creepy writing on the walls, they decided to stay the night.Going upstairs, they found a moth-eaten mattress that was covered in stains. The husband and wife wrapped themselves in an old piece of carpet to keep warm and tried to make themselves as comfortable as possible under the circumstances. They lay down together on the mattress and eventually managed to fall asleep.Sometime after midnight, the couple were awakened by a strange rustling noise. It sounded like someone or something was moving around outside the shack.Did you hear that? asked his wife. I think theres somebody out there. Her husband listened for a while, but he didnt hear anything. He got out of bed and walked over to the window. It was too dark outside to see anything. Opening the window, he stuck his head out.Whos there? he called nervously. There was no answer. He was about to go back to bed when his wife said, Maybe its someone who cant speak

The husband returned to the window and said, Is there anybody out there? Clap once for YES and twice for NO.He strained his ears to listen. The stars twinkled in the night sky. The crickets were chirping loudly. All of a sudden, he heard a loud CLAP!The man turned to his wife and said in surprise, You were right. Theres someone out there. He leaned out the window and his eyes scanned the darkness. he couldnt make out anything in the pitch black. Are you the owner of this cabin? he asked.CLAP! CLAP!Are you a man?CLAP! CLAP!Youre a woman, then?CLAP! CLAP!Are you human?CLAP! CLAP!A chill ran down his spine. He swallowed hard and croaked, Did you come here alone?CLAP! CLAP!How many are with you? Clap once for each personCLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP!

Awsm Story of LifeOnce upon a time, there was a miserable man. Yes, he was miserable, totally, utterly miserable. Nothing he had was of any good, as it seemed to him. He was healthy, but not good looking. He had a job, but his earning was not upto his deserving. He had a home, but it was too small. He had a wife, but she could never sympathize with him. He had two kids, and he was sure both would turn out to be useless idiots. In short, life had given him nothing good, and he was truly miserable. So miserable, indeed, was he that even Lord, the Almighty, had to look down and take notice. What ails you, dear child? He asked the miserable man.My life in itself is an ailment, Lord, the man replied. I have never ever had anything that could make me truly happy.Life is an opportunity, dear child, not an ailment. It is a chance given to you to acquire wisdom and create joy and happiness for yourself and others, said the Almighty. That is all very well to say, Lord, but very hard to remember when all life brings to you is misery. Bless me with perfect happiness, O Lord! urged the man. That I cannot do, child. You have to bear the sorrows and travails that life has marked as your share, said the Lord. One month, cant you at least make me perfectly happy for one month? If only I could have every thing good, everything perfect for even one month, just one month. I would then know what real happiness is. If I am truly, perfectly happy even for one month, I will tolerate the rest of my miserable life. There would at least be the memories of my one perfect month to gladden my heart with, said the miserable man.Your wish is granted, child. You will have everything perfect for one month. Go, and find your true happiness. So saying, God vanished from before the mans eyes, and the mans dreams and desires unfolded. His home turned into a mansion of dreams, he became the most handsome and healthy man in the whole world, his wife mirrored his every desire, and his two kids became as wise as sages. There was no dearth of money, or food, or the luxuries of life. When the month ended, God again appeared before the man and asked, So, child, have you found happiness? How has your month been?Happiness? I have never been more miserable than I have been in the past month! cried the man. Why? asked God. Wasnt everything perfect?Yes, said the man. Then why didnt it make you happy?Because I kept on thinking the happiness wont last, and that made me even more miserable, the man replied. And so the man had wasted away even his one month of perfection. You had a most wonderful divine gift in your hand, and yet you wasted it away because of your own foolishness. Go and live a month of misery now, and let that teach you a lesson, said God before vanishing away.Bitter days fell upon the miserable man. His good health left him, and he became a cripple. His home vanished from his sight, along with his wife and kids. A bitter storm bellowed up. It picked up the man and threw him in the middle of a barren desert. The sun beat down hard on him, but there was not a shade to be found. He walked on and on in search of a settlement. But wherever his feet took him, there was only barren land to be seen as far as the eyes had the might to reach. Hunger gnawed at his stomach and thirst burned his throat. Not a morsel nor a drop of water was to be had.Far and wide he wandered, half out of his mind with despair and misery. Bitter tears fell down his cheeks. Hunger and thirst and exhaustion tortured him, and his heart pained with the worry about his family. He hoped at least they were well. He felt he was never going to see them again. As he walked on in search of water and shelter, every step seemed to be bringing him closer to his end instead. Finally, his strength failed him and he fell down on the hot sand.Forgive, forgive, O Lord, his heart cried out, though no words could come out of his mouth.Just then a bird came flapping its wings with all the vigour of its free flight. It held in its beak a small pouch. As the bird flew over the miserable man, the pouch slipped from its beak and fell down right next to the man. He gathered all his strength, and with great effort managed to pick up the pouch and open it. It contained a piece of bread, and a bottle of water. The man wasted not a moment. He gulped down the water and finished the bit of bread in a few moments.Thank you, God! he cried out, Thank you! Thank you! Im so happy! He could not get up, but he started dancing where he sat. His eyes joyfully stared at the bottle that still contained some water.Lord, the Almighty, appeared before him once again. You are happy, my child? He asked.Yes, yes, God, I was sure I would die. But you sent me food and water, and Im alive! Thank you!But you had plenty of food and water before too. Why werent you happy then?I the man could not go any further. He did not know what to say.You were not happy because you looked for the happiness outside. But happiness has its seat within your heart, child. Only you can make yourself happy, not the treasures or splendours of the world. Regret not the past, fear not the future, cherish what you have and be happy in it because whatever you have has been sent by me. Count your blessings, not your sores because you will only see what you are focusing on. If you focus on misery, you will find only misery, and the happiness of your life will waste away.I understand, My Lord. What a fool I have been. I remained busy crying over what I may never have and forgot to enjoy the bliss of what I had.The man had learnt his lesson. God smiled and returned him back to his old life, to his loving wife and kids. The man never had a perfect life. And there were many things he wanted but got not. But never again did he cry over them. Instead, he filled his heart with the happiness of what he had and spread love and happiness all around

White DeathIam currently sitting in front of my computer, scared witless. Every moment could be my last. My friend is here with me and he is the sole reason why my life is in danger. It may not make sense at first, but let me explain. It all started earlier today, when a friend of mine burst into my house and slammed the door behind him. His eyes were wide with fear and he stood there with his back against the door, breathing heavily. I asked him what had happened and he told me this story:He had been living with his Aunt for the past year because his parents were in Mexico. They were doing mission work at a small hospital in Southern Mexico. The previous night, a bedraggled man had stumbled through the entrance of the hospital. He was screaming in Spanish and appeared to be out of his mind with terror. They brought him over to a chair and let him sit down. As he caught his breath, he told his story in broken English. He claimed that his sister had been killed by something he referred to as La Muerto Blanco. He kept saying that it was coming for him next.Confused, they asked him who or what a Muerto Blanco was. With a look of unfathomable fear on his face, he said that La Muerto Blanco was The White Death. She is the soul of a girl who died years ago. She died by her own hand, he said, alone and unloved. She hated life so much that she wanted to remove all traces of herself from the earth. So great was her desire to completely obliterate her memory, that she returned from the dead as a vengeful spirit, bent on killing all those who knew of her existence. She is a girl, but not a girl, he said. Shes not dead, but not really alive. She has cold, black eyes that weep blood. She walks without ever actually seeming to move an inch. She stalks her victims like a wild animal, pursuing them across rivers and valleys, trailing them back to their homes. You are never really aware that she is following you, until you hear her telltale knock upon your door. She knocks once for you skin, which shell use to patch her own decaying flesh. Twice for your hair, which shell gnash between her teeth. Three times for your bones, which shell fashion into clubs. Four times for your heart, which shell tear out of your chest. Five times for your teeth, which shell polish and keep in a box. Six times for your eyes, which shell pluck out one by one. Seven times for your soul, which shell swallow whole. No matter where you go, The White Death will track you down and you will hear her terrible knocking begin on the door. You can try to outrun her, but shes faster than any mortal man. If you flee from your home while shes knocking on your door, she will follow you wherever you go.The terrified man was certain that this thing had killed his sister. He had tried to tell the police, about The White Death but they would not listen, dismissing it as an old wives tale. Next, he had tried to tell his priest, but the priest immediately shut the door of the church in his face and turned him away. The priest had seen The White Death following him, he said, and did not want to get involved.

With his head in his hands, the frightened man said that The White Death follows you forever until you tell someone else about it. Then it strikes. It kills you and begins following the person you told. After finishing his tale, the man stole a car from the mission hospital parking lot, and vanished into the night.Apparently, my friends mother and father had immediately called his aunt and told her about the stange man they had encountered. They asked her if she had ever heard of the White Death. She said she had not and they proceeded to tell her the story that the man had told them. The aunt got a phonecall later that night. It was the Mexican police. They told her that the parents had been found dead outside the hospital. They had been torn apart. My friends aunt had immediately called him at school to break the bad news to him. As he cried, she told him she couldnt understand what had happened. She recounted the whole story to him, telling him about the strange man who had turned up in the hospital just hours before his parents were found dead. She told him how the man had given his parents a weird and disturbing story about something called The White Death. When he hung up the phone, he had struggled to come to terms with what had happened. It almost didnt seem real to him. When he got home after school, he found the front door of his Aunts house standing open. Inside was a trail of blood, leading into the kitchen. There on the kitchen floor, he found his Aunts dead body. She had been torn limb from limb.He ran out of the house and all the way across town, never looking back, until he reached my house. As he told me this story, I could hardly believe it. Within the space of a day, his mother, his father and his aunt had been murdered. It all seemed too far-fetched.But before I could utter a word, my friend and I both recoiled in horror as we heard a knocking begin at my front door.Weve been staring at the door for an hour now, neither of us wanting to open it. The knocking is still going on, growing louder and louder. She never gives up. She never quits. La Muerto Blanco is unstoppable. I think she wants to scare us, my friend and I. I think she wants us to blame each other. And I do I blame my friend. Its all his fault. He should never have told about her.As I sit here in my house, beside my friend, both of us listening to that hideous knocking growing ever louder, I wish a lot of things. I wish she had killed my friend before he reached my house. If he had never been able to tell me about her, I wouldnt be in danger now. Im sorry I ever met him.And Im sorry for you too. Im sorry I made you read this story. Im sorry I ever told you about the White Death. Because now that you know about her, shell be coming for you next. SORRY

There was a group of teenage friends, 4 boysand 4 girls, who went to the same high school. One night, they were having a small party in thehouse of one of the boys. It was after midnightand the talk soon turned to scary stories. Thefriends wanted to test their courage by going toa haunted location. They thought it would befun to scare themselves by exploring a creepyplace in the dark..For years, they had heard stories about an oldabandoned school that lay on the outskirts oftown. Everyone said it was haunted. None of theteenagers actually believed in ghosts, but theywanted to scare themselves and it seemed likethe old abandoned school was the easiest placeto explore..One of the girls had a car, so they drove out tothe old schoolhouse and parked outside thegrounds. The 8 friends decided that they wouldexplore the school in pairs. The plan was foreach pair to walk around the school anti-clockwise. It would take about 10 minutes tocircumnavigate the school. The first pair wouldstart off and, When they returned, they wouldtell the others what they had seen. Then, itwould be the turn of the second pair to walkaround the school..The first pair, a boy and a girl, set off as theremaining 6 teenagers waited by the car. After awhile, they began to grow impatient. It hadbeen more than 20 minutes, and their friendshad still not returned. After 30 minutes hadpassed since the first pair left, the others gottired of waiting. The next boy and girl decidedto walk around the school and look for theirfriends..The others waited and waited, but the secondpair failed to come back. The remainingteenagers couldnt understand what washappening. They began to wonder if theirfriends were playing a joke on them.It had been almost an hour since the first pairhad left. The third boy and girl pair nervouslyset off to try and find their missing friends..They never returned. The boy and girl who remained behind werevery nervous. The girl began to cry and the boytried to comfort her.Eventually, the boy said, Im going to look forthe others. If I dont come back after 30minutes, go straight to the police. After he left, the girl stood alone in the coldand the dark, weeping silently. She waited anhour, but nobody came back. She got into thecar, turned the keys in the ignition and drove tothe nearest police station.Four police officers accompanied the girl backto the school and, as dawn began to break, theylaunched a search for the seven missingteenagers. At first, they couldnt find any sign ofthem on the school grounds but then theydiscovered that the side door of the old, disused school gym was standing open..The police went inside, but it was empty. Therewas an eerie silence in the air. It was when theylooked inside the toilet in the gym that theyfinally found the missing seven..They were all hanging from the ceiling by theirnecks. The police questioned the surviving girl and sheswore that she had been telling the truth. Theseven teenagers had gone to the abandonedschool to test their courage. They had no reasonto commit suicide. However, after spending weeks trying to solvethe mystery, the police finally closed the case, saying they could not find any evidence that theteenagers had been murdered. In the end, theincident was explained away as a case of masshysteria. The police claimed that the seventeenagers must have been involved in some sortof suicide pact..To this day, nobody in that town will dare toventure out to the old abandoned school aftersunset.

PiggyBack devil emoticonThere was a married couple who had one young son. Even before their son was born, the couples marriage was on shaky ground. As the years went by, the mother and father fought all the time. Their arguments became more frequent and they talked about getting a divorce. In the end, they stayed together for the sake of their son, but the arguments continued and the fights became more and more violent. By the time their son was 5 years old, the couple had grown to hate each other. One night, after they had put the boy to bed, the mother and father got into an enormous argument. The father flew into an insane rage and murdered his wife. When he came to his senses and realized what he had done, he set about disposing of the body. He dragged his wifes corpse into the garage and put her in the boot of his car. Then, he drove out to the mountains. Under cover of darkness, he slung her dead body over his shoulders and carried her out to a marshy swamp nearby. He dragged her out into the foul-smelling muck and watched as her corpse sank into the murky depths. As dawn was beginning to break, he returned home to clean up take a shower. No matter how much he scrubbed and scrubbed, he couldnt seem to get rid of the sickening smell of the swamp. He slept for a few hours and when he awoke, he started to think about what he would do if his son asked where the mother was. He decided to tell the boy that his wife had gone to stay with her sister for a while. However, when his young son got up for breakfast, he never mentioned his mother at all. He just stared at his father and said nothing. The man could still smell the odor of the muck from the swamp where he had buried his wife. He took an air freshener and began spraying it around the house, hoping to mask the unpleasant scent. It made him feel sick.A few hours passed and the little boy was watching TV in the living room. The father began to get an uneasy feeling in the pit of his stomach. Every time he went into the living room, he noticed that his son was staring at him with a curious look on his face. It made the father feel nervous and paranoid. His mind was racing. Perhaps the boy knew what had happened, he thought. Maybe the boy had overheard him murdering his mother. If his son knew what he had done, perhaps he would have to kill him as well. The father walked into the room, where his son was still watching TV.Is there something you want to ask me? he said. The boy thought for a few seconds and then replied, YeahIs it about your mother? asked the father.Yeah said the boy.I suppose youre wondering where your mother is, said the father. No, said the boy. Im wondering why Mommys face is so pale and why she is sitting on your Shoulder all the Time "

ScareCrowThere was an old farmer in Arizona who owned the best farm in the area. Everybody said his crops were the best and people came from all over to buy their goods from him. Whenever people asked him how he was able to grow such good quality crops, the old farmer would say it was all down to his scarecrow. That old scarecrow is the one I have to thank, said the farmer. He makes sure no crows or critters or pests come near my crops. The old farmer had built the scarecrow himself and it was a fearsome sight. He spent months working on it to make it as scary as possible. He knew how important it was to keep pests away from his crops. So he gave it enormous straw arms that stretched out about 6 feet and big long legs that made it as tall as a tree. But the scariest thing about this scarecrow was its head. The farmer carved it himself out of a huge pumpkin. He spent countless days and nights perfecting his design until it was perfect. The scarecrows face and head was so grotesque and ugly that even he was sometimes scared to look at it. But it was very effective, scaring away every rodent and bird that ventured near. The neighboring farm was owned by two young men who were brothers named Josh and Harold. They were lazy and never did much work around the farm which resulted in their crops being bad. They were jealous of the old farmers success and were plotting against him. If they could drive him out of business they could take over his farm and make more money. So one night, the brothers decided to sneak onto the old farmers land. They stole his prized scarecrow and brought it back to their own house, where they stuffed it into an old closet so nobody would ever find it.The next day, the farmer woke up to find his hideous scarecrow missing and all his crops being eaten by rats and crows. He fell to his knees and cried, knowing that his farm would soon be out of business. Meanwhile, the brothers, Josh and Harld were watching from their own property and couldnt help laughing out loud when they saw the old mans tears of grief.Hearing the laughter, the old farmer came over and asked them if they knew what happened to his scarecrow. The brothers looked him right in the eye and said they had no idea where his precious scarecrow might be.But you know Ill go out of business and have to sell my farm if I cant find my scarecrow, said the farmer.Josh just laughed in his face, saying Thats just your tough luck, isnt it?.Sucks to be you, giggled Harold. The old farmer walked slowly back to his house, his head hanging down in defeat and depression. That night, as Josh and Harold had trouble sleeping. Not because they felt any remorse, but because they couldnt get the image of the scarecrows horrible twisted face out of their minds. They decided they would never be able to sleep as long as that ugly pumpkin head was in their house. So they got up and dragged the scarecrow out of the closet.Harold took a baseball bat and smashed the scarecrows head to pieces until all that was left was little bits of pumpkin strewn around the floor. The brothers swept up the pumpkin head pieces and threw them in the trash. Then they went back to bed and were soon fast asleep, having put all thoughts of the disgusting scarecrow face out of their heads. Some time after midnight, Josh and Harold were awoken by the sounds of scratching and clawing at their bedroom door.Did you forget to put the dog out? asked Harold, sleepily.W-w-w-we dont have a dog, stammered Josh.Suddenly the bedroom door burst open and a solitary long straw arm snaked in through the opening. Then a second arm thrashed around, followed by two long stick legs. The two brothers were frozen in fear and could only look with horror as the headless scarecrows body rose up on its long stick legs and its long arms reached out for them in the darkness.Harold felt a cold sinewy, straw claw close around his neck and screamed as loud as he could. He begged his brother Josh to help him. But Josh was already running out of the bedroom. Fleeing in terror, he ran down the hallway, crashed through the front door and out onto the moonlit road.He ran as fast as his legs could carry him, puffing and panting and screaming at the top of his voice. As he passed his neighbors house, he saw the old farmer standing at his gate. In the moonlight, he could see the farmer just staring at him with a strange smile on his face.Josh kept running, his bare feet slapping against the rough gravel road. He glanced back over his shoulder and saw something that scared him to his very soul. He saw the scarecrow running along the road close behind him. It was gaining on him, coming closer and closer. And that wasnt all he saw. He noticed that the scarecrow had a brand new head. And it looked a lot like his brother Harold's headThe EndThere are lot of question unanswered here like what hppns nxtwhy was the farmer smilinghas some witchcraft done by farmerif so why was he cruing in the dayn manny moreI would like the readers to use thier imagination and complete the story

The New HouseWhen I was about 10 or 11, my family lived in a three-story house. My bedroom was on the top floor. It was small, square and simple. There was a glass door in my bedroom that led into a small brick room. There was no ceiling on this room and there was an opening in the roof above that extended to the open air. There was nothing in this little room, just a drain in the middle of the floor. It was probably put there to allow the rainwater to drain away. There was something about the drain bothered me. Whenever I saw it, I felt sick to my stomach. Once, I even thought I saw the drain cover jiggle slightly when I opened the door. There always seemed to be a chill in the air whenever I opened the door to that little brick room. I oinly ever had the nerve to open the door in broad daylight and then only to take a quick peek inside. Even though the sun was blazing outside, it was always deathly cold in the brick room. The memory of what happened in that room still haunts me and plagues my dreams from time to time.Shortly after I moved into that bedroom, I started having very bad dreams. One night, I had a particularly horrifying nightmare and I awoke with the feeling that something was terribly, terribly wrong.Immediately, my eyes darted to the door. I lay there in bed, afraid to move, but unable to look away from the door in case there might be something there when I looked back. That was when I first heard the whispering noise. It sounded a wire brush softly rubbing against something. It wasnt coming from any discernable direction, but it seemed to gradually surround me like a blanket, pressing on my ears.Eventually, I managed to fall asleep, but the next morning, I swore I could make out footprints in the dust around the drain in the little brick room. After that, the whispering rarely stopped at night. It was always there, from the time I switched off the light until I finally managed to fall asleep. Often, Id wake up in the middle of the night and find the room completely silent. Then, the whispering would start, as if it had just been waiting until I was awake.Over the next few months, the whispering continued. It was just a hollow kissshhh sshhhaww hissshhh asshhh that seemed to repeat over and over. It didnt sound angry or sad. It was always just there. Then one night, something happened. I still have nightmares about this incident and it makes me cringe and want to curl up in a ball whenever I recall it.I awoke from a terrible nightmare. The moonlight was barely filtering in through the window. I looked at the door to the little brick room and thats when I saw it. To my utter horror, I could make out something lurking in there. As my eyes adjusted to the darkness, I saw that it was a woman. She had dark curly hair and pale white skin. Her eyes were completely black and filled with anger and hatred.Suddenly, she began shrieking and pounding on the glass door with both fists. Her head started sweiling around on her neck, shaking back and forth like a kettle on a stick. Her hair tossed around violently and the skin around her mouth flapped loosely, giving me glimpses of her teeth and tongue. Saliva dripped from the corners of her mouth and flew off as she shrieked.I was terrified and all I could do was let out a high-pitched scream. As I screamed, she shrank back from the door and ugh slithered down the drain somehow. Her body was twisted and distorted and I swear I could hear her bones splintering and cracking as she wound herself down into the drain.I never slept in that room after that i forced my father to sell that house ..he told unless sum1 buys this 1 we cant buy another ..so a new family came to see the house. they liked it instantly , they had a 9 year old daughter n she liked my room very much n told her parents that , the top room will b her bedrooma chill ran through me n I felt sorry for herI thought to warn her but then I remembered if they dont buy I will have to stay thereso I kept silent and kept looking at the girlwe moved the next day n they shifted within a week ... a month after that news came that the girl died in her bed .the police nor the doctors could give any satisfactory reason for her deathbut i knew ..still feeling real sorry for her
