Why a sta giving campaign?Regardless of which Mercy Health entity we call home, we are all part of the Mercy family and are blessed to o er amazing patient care.

A culture of giving: When employees give back, they feel a sense of pride, engagement and fulfi llment. The community as a whole also sees this generosity and commitment of our Mercy Health family, not only because we selfl essly give of our time and talents, but because we embody a philanthropic spirit of care and compassion — at a time when it is needed most and for our patients who need it most.

Additional giving options:Joanie’s Promise Fund — The assurance that all women will have access to the very best breast care. The Joanie’s Promise Fund ensures that all women have access to state of the art technologies and services with results in minutes rather than weeks. With the addition of the Joanie Abdu Mobile Mammography Van, 3D breast imaging is driving straight to the doors of those women most vulnerable.

Centering Pregnancy — Providing support throughout pregnancy is one of the most critical components of a healthy birth and ultimately, a healthy baby. Through empowerment and engagement, Centering Pregnancy connects expecting mother’s with one another to generate the support necessary whether it’s the fi rst child or the third.

Sr. Margaret MarySiegfried, H.M.

The ProjectServing our ministry for 68 of its 105 years, Sr. Margaret Mary Siegfried, H.M., continues to be one of our many quiet hearts who extend the healing ministry of Jesus, especially to the poor and underserved. Her dedication to our mission and her leadership in the Pharmacy department has enabled her to touch the lives of hundreds of thousands of patients over nearly seven decades of ministry. We are humbled to acknowledge Sr. Margaret Mary’s devotion the healing ministry of Jesus by naming our latest and innovative pharmacy program in her honor. With the help of our ROSE Club, two new ambulatory pharmacies will be constructed at Mercy Health — St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital and Mercy Health — St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital that will enable us to establish a meds to beds program for the benefi t of our patients.

With the construction of Sr. Margaret Mary Siegfried H.M., Pharmacies, Mercy Health and the Mercy Health Foundation are able to provide any and all medications to all our inpatient families prior to their discharge — regardless of their ability to pay. The impact of not only having medications at the time of discharge, but also the opportunity to consult with physician, nurse and pharmacist about reactions, side e ects and outcomes prior to leaving the hospital provides comfort and valuable information to our patients and their families. Your gift will help bring medications to the bedside of our patients and you will also be preserving the legacy of Sr. Margaret Mary who has dedicated her life to service in our community.
