WHO… AM I?

WHERE… DID I STUDY/LEARN SPANISH?*I began my studies in high school (for the native St. Louisans – Cor Jesu Academy)*I received my BA from the University of Tulsa after completing my Junior year at La Universidad Complutense de Madrid*I received my Master’s from Washington University

WHAT… AM I TEACHING?*SPANISH II Students continue their study of the Spanish language and the cultures of the Spanish-speaking people of the world.

They listen to and comprehend spoken Spanish, practice pronunciation and express themselves in Spanish on a variety of subjects.

The course requires daily homework, class participation, language laboratory activities, oral and written quizzes, unit tests, and various projects for cultural enrichment.

WHAT… WILL STUDENTS DO?They will:*use verbs in the past tense to describe and narrate*use structures and expressions to talk about the future plans and activities* use vocabulary and expressions to conduct conversations, to ask for and give opinions/help on a variety of topics (shopping travel, holidays & celebrations , community, professions…) *demonstrate an understanding of the relationship between the products, practices and perspectives of the cultures studied

HOW… WILL STUDENTS BE ASSESSED?

Homework, quizzes, tests Projects, presentations, etc… 70%

Oral Participation, daily preparation, attendance… 15%

Daily assignments, binder checks… 15%
