WATER IS ALWAYS BETTER THAN KOOL-AID
• Plenty of water is best to stay hydrated and healthy.
• More than half of your body weight is water.
• Your body can not function properly after going a few hours without water.
• Water is in the fluids that keep your joints moving smoothly (like knees and elbows) so that your bones don’t creak and groan like a rusty swing.
• Did you know that mucus is mostly water? I know that sounds nasty but it keeps your insides smooth and slippery so that everything can run all over your body system without getting stuck.
LETS GET A LITTLE MORE INFO IN YA!!!
• Water carries digestive enzymes, they help break up the food into little small bites that your body needs.
• You need water to keep your body from feeling really hot.
Water comes through tiny holes in your skin called pores.
This is the water on your skin that sometimes smells and if you taste it, it is salty.
We call this kind of water sweat or perspiration and it helps cool our bodies off.
JUST ONE MORE THING ABOUT THIS YUMMY WATER.
Adults bodies use about 2 liters a day and smaller bodies use one-half of that, which is 1 liter.
Lets try to drink around 6 cups of water a day, more if its hot.
Be carful of the sugar in fizzy drinks. They are yummy to our tummies, YES!!!!! But they have a lot of sugar, and we do not need a lot of that. To much sugar will give you a tummy ache.
All my students that play sports make sure you get plenty of water, so your body does not feel tired to quickly.
