Summer Admission
Summer Session for freshmen is June 24-July 26 (exams July 29-August 2)
Orientation for the freshman summer session is June 20-21
Students will take 2 classes or 6 hours
(Courses for freshman summer term can be found at www.admission.gatech.edu/summer)
Students can live on campus or commute from home
Summer Admission
250 students enroll in the summer term, but far less apply for this term
Beginning in summer means there are two less classes in which you will take seats in the fall
Students who enroll in the summer experience many benefits, including:
Learn their way around campus & adjust to life at Tech
Experience the rigor of college classes before facing the frenetic pace of fall
First freshmen to register for fall classes

Summer Enrollment is 3-step process!
1. Accept your offer of summer term by April 15th (this does not commit you to Tech)
2. Pay your admission deposit of $250 by May 1st
3. Pay your housing pre-payment by May 1st ($300 for Summer; $600 for Fall)

Meet with major advisor, select summer courses, and learn how to register

Registration for FASET will open May 22 at 9am
Before FASET
What do I need to do before FASET?
Send an official final high school transcript to the Office of Undergraduate Admission
Send AP/IB/SAT subject test scores or college transcripts to receive college credit
AP exam scores should be here in time for summer registration; IB exam scores aren’t
typically available until mid-July
Complete your Health Immunization Records
Lawful Presence Verification

1. Pay $300 Summer Housing Prepayment
