• Families who have a lower income are more likely to be obese.

• This is because healthy, higher quality foods can cost much more than low quality food.

• Low-income families will go to places like Mc Donald’s , Wendy’s, and Burger King more often because it is cheaper.

Medical Issues

• Some medications, such as hormones, diabetes medications, antidepressants, and blood pressure medicines can cause weight gain.

• Medications and treatments for diseases such as cancer can also cause you to gain unwanted weight.

• Stress, can also contribute to overeating. It can make you feel hungry when you really aren't.

Marriage and Family History

• Obese people tend to marry other obese people, and their kids will have a much higher chance of being obese.

• People who have a history of obesity in their family will also have a much higher chance of being obese.

Sleep Habits

• People who sleep less tend to overeat in order to make up for the energy loss.

• More and more people are staying up late because of tempting shows, movies, games etc…

• Lack of sleep can cause other problems, not just obesity. Inability to focus at work or school is another result of little sleep.
