Why Is Music Education In School Important?

In 500 words or less, please explain why you think it’s important to have music education in school, if at all. Use the grading criteria below to help guide you.

Grading Criteria: (Total possible points: 25)*

#1 - Relevance & Rules (5 possible points) 5 Point Score = Answered the question and stayed within the 500 word limit.

#2 - Honesty (5 possible points) 5 Point Score = Answer was written by the student and is an honest account of how they feel.

#3 - Clarity (5 possible points)* 5 Point Score = Answer is well written and has a clear point.

#4 Meaningfulness (10 possible points) 10 Point Score = Answer goes beyond facts and explores meaning as it relates to the student.

*NOTE: Each submission will NOT receive their score or feedback on student essay. All info will be kept private.
