Tythe Barn. The stunning Grade II listed, C16th Cotswold stone barn is the focal point of the Estate which is
surrounded by former farm buildings, now transformed into accommodation for up to 90 guests.

Sympathetically restored, this historic Tythe barn retains many of its original features such as exposed stone
walls and wooden oak beams whilst incorporating 21st Century comforts such as under floor heating,
tastefully decorated washrooms, wooden flooring, atmospheric lighting and tall glass entrance doors to allow
plenty of natural light and views of the courtyard.

CIVIL CEREMONY
Here at the barn we have 6 possible locations for your ceremony, offering versatility depending on your guest
numbers and wedding style.
• Newnton Gallery – seats up to 65 guests
• Shipton – seats up to 100 guests
• Estcourt – seats up to 200 guests
• Tythe House Orangery - seats up to 60 guests
• Outdoor Gazebo - up to 7 witnesses inside the gazebo and an unlimited number of guests on the lawn
• Tythe House Lawn
(There are additional charges for the use of the Orangery and Tythe House Lawn as it is a separate building to The Great
Tythe Barn)
The Great Tythe Barn does not charge you extra for a Civil Ceremony, however the Registrars will make an
additional charge to come out to the venue on the day.

CHURCH CEREMONY
If you are looking for a Church of England, we are in the Parish of St Mary the Virgin and St Mary Magdalen,
Tetbury. Tetbury Church is also part of a benefice together with the parishes of Long Newnton, Shipton
Moyne & Beverston all of which are close to the Great Tythe Barn.

RECEPTION DRINKS
Following your wedding ceremony enjoy your drinks reception on our beautiful lawns with the barn
providing a stunning back drop for that picture postcard wedding photo.
In inclement weather, Newnton and the Estcourt Gallery provides a large area with exposed beams and comfy
leather sofas. With the back drop of the striking fairy light canopy, it’s a perfect all-weather option.
WEDDING BREAKFAST
On the ground floor of the barn we can seat up to 200 dining guests for your wedding breakfast. Due to the
barn’s adaptability we have several seating arrangements which caters for all requirements – whether you’re
looking for a more intimate gathering of 50 or a party of 200!
Our amazing caterers will provide stunning menus to exceed your expectations and even help create a
bespoke menu to suit your style. Whether it be a traditional (or non-traditional if you choose) 3 course
Wedding Breakfast, Barbeque or Hog Roasts, there is something for everyone.
EVENING RECEPTION
In the evening the Great Tythe Barn transforms to a truly spectacular venue for an evening reception for up to
350 guests. The soft lighting in the barn sets the mood for your first romantic dance together as a married
couple.
Our stage and wooden dance floor provides an excellent space for band/DJ to set up and for your guests to
dance the night away until the early hours.

Please note that on Fridays & Saturdays during May - September minimum numbers apply - minimum of 80 day guests for a Friday and 100 day guests for a Saturday. Christmas/New Year prices available on request.
Included in the Barn Hire charge * Access to the barn from 9am until 1.00am – Extra Hours between 1.00am and 2.00am are charged by
the hour at 10% of the day rate. * Fairy light canopy, fairy lights on banisters throughout the barn and a solid oak guestbook table * Use of our round tables, any tables for cake, formal top table etc. * We have Chiavari Chairs (pictured below). An alternative style of chair or table may be hired either via

The advantage of selecting one of our fantastic Drinks Packages, is we do all the work for you! The only
decision to make is whether to opt for one of our 4 uniquely designed packages or, with the help of Tracey our
lovely bar manager, you can design a truly bespoke package for your day to suit your own tastes and style!
Our bespoke drinks packages can include a vast variety of drinks; Beers, Prosecco, Cocktails, Kilners of Spirits
with mixers, Wine for the Wedding Breakfast, and Toast with what you wish, be it Prosecco, Champagne or
even a shot!

CORKAGE An alternative is our Corkage which is charged at £9.75 per adult. This enables you to bring in your own fizz for Drinks Reception, wine for Wedding Breakfast and fizz for Toasts, and also covers soft drinks for the day.
Drop off the drinks the day before your wedding, and we’ll do the rest! We provide all the glassware, will chill
everything overnight and serve ready for you and your guests to enjoy.

ACCOMMODATION
BED & BREAKFAST ROOMS
Our 12 comfortable rooms comprise of doubles, twins and family rooms. Most rooms have superb views over
agricultural land with Tetbury in the distance.
Each room has an en-suite shower room and a range of amenities that including a television, central heating,
and hairdryer and you will benefit from a lovely well prepared continental breakfast the following morning.
COTTAGES
Our 10 beautiful cottages have been converted from period farm buildings are located around the courtyard of
The Great Tythe Barn providing accommodation for a total of 48 guests.
All cottages contain comfortable living rooms and functional kitchen areas with built in ovens, microwaves,
gas hobs and fridges. Some cottages even feature log burning stoves.
THE TYTHE HOUSE
The classical gem of a small Cotswold Manor House, built in the Queen Anne William and Mary style circa
1700, has been lovingly restored. Delightful in its practical simplicity, it consists of 3 spacious ground floor
reception rooms, a stunning country kitchen and 8 en-suite double bedrooms across 2 floors for 21st Century
comfort and living.
There is also a large Orangery that is connected to the house; it is a light magical space with glass roof
lanterns, French patio doors to the extensive private gardens. It is licenced for Civil Ceremonies with a
Travertine stone floor, effective heating and a log-burning fireplace.
