COURSES & TEACHING

You will be attracted to the University of Bedfordshire by your chosen course. You will have studied the course outline and found modules that interest you.

The high quality of teaching is also one of the biggest reasons students come to Bedfordshire. Many of our highly qualified academic staff have received National Teaching Fellowship Awards for their outstanding contribution to teaching and learning.

Our courses offer a creative approach to teaching and learning which blends theory with practice. Academic staff have substantial industry experience and maintain links with professional bodies.

We have been awarded top marks – a “confidence” rating – in the last UK Government Quality Assurance Agency Audit, which checks how UK universities maintain their own academic standards and quality.

EMPLOYABILITY

4

Our courses are designed and delivered in collaboration with employers, practitioners and professional organisations to ensure they meet the needs of today’s businesses. Our practice-based approach to teaching and learning means students develop practical skills as professional practitioners and entrepreneurs while still at the University.

Studying at Bedfordshire will allow you to benefit from our connections to industry and professional bodies. Our industry connections include: Alexander McQueen, Astra Zeneca, Automobili Lamborghini, English National Ballet, London Heathrow Airport, London Luton Airport, Luton Town Football Club, Marks and Spencer, Penguin Books, Ramada, Santander, Siemens, UCB Celltech, Vauxhall Motors, and Office Depot.

In partnership with these and other businesses, students regularly benefit from industry days, practice weeks, workshops, work placements, and mini consultancy projects for employers.

University of Bedfordshire courses benefit from accreditation to a range of professional bodies, for example, the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants, the British Computer Society and the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
