Corporate•Corporate identity reflecting the RIBI style for use by districts and clubs•Currently 1000 clubs and 20 districts use it for their website

Ready to go• Every RIBI club has an allocated web space

www.stmachar.rotary1010.org• All D1010 clubs are registered on the system• All D1010 Rotarians are registered on the

system and have a username and password• All district and club officers or contacts have

been added• In February 2011 24 D1010 clubs were using it

there are now 35 using it.

Low cost• It is provided and maintained free of charge• No individual or corporate entity makes

money from it• Each club must make an additional annual

donation of £50 to Foundation• This has raised over £250,000 for Foundation

so far

Support and succession• If your webmaster leaves there will be support for his or

her successor so you do not need to change again• There is an excellent RIBI support group for webmasters

with almost all queries answered the same day• There is knowledgeable support available at district level

and web mentors/trainers will be trained• Local Mentoring is available for club webmasters who

are starting off with it• It is not difficult to use • There is a full manual of How Tos

Improved communications• It permits messaging between Rotarians but

keeps email addresses anonymous and secure• Club and district officers all have a generic

email address, e.g. [email protected]

• Direct communication will be possible between a district chair and the relevant club convenors if the club wishes – saving time and effort for the club secretary

Improved communications• It will replace the Mailbox• Emails go direct to personal email addresses• Group communication is easy for a club

convenor and his or her committee• Online registration for events an apologies is

possible – reducing need for boards• Communication with counterparts in other

communications system• It integrates club and district systems• Changes only need to be entered once and

are then reflected across the system• Can be used for club and district directories

the RIBI-T website when logging in to check your data and using the messaging system. So:

• Use RIBI-T for your website. But:• Wait till you are ready to change, there is no

imperative• Remember that non IT Rotarians will have to be

catered for• Appoint a team not just one webmaster• Initially retain your old website and domain name

but put on a link to the new one from it and vice versa.
