Assistance with

Standard School Attire

Fair Oaks Elementary will establish proce-

dures and maintain a minimum inventory of

required clothing to provide emergency

clothing to students who do not have the

required Standard Attire. Funding to sup-

port this resource may be drawn from com-

munity donations and other sources availa-

ble to the school.

In addition, Fair Oaks will coordinate with

schools, businesses, religious organizations

and community groups to assist with dona-

tions. While Fair Oaks is not required to

provide such attire to students, the donated

items will be made available at no cost to

students who demonstrate financial need.

The identity of the child or the family ac-

cessing the resource due to their financial

status, will not be disclosed.

Standard School Attire Requirements:

Monday—Thursday:

Shirts—Must have a collar, long or short sleeved.

Colors: navy, light blue, yellow, black, or white.

There may be no patterns, or stripes, markings, labels or

other designs on the shirt except an emblem that is no

larger than 2”x3” in the upper left pocket area or sleeve.

Pants— Type (jeans or khaki) colors: Jeans (black

or blue). Khaki (navy blue or khaki.) Pants must be

solid with no patterns, labels, or other markings.

Gym material pants are not permitted

No holes or tears in pants. No leggings or other skin

tight fabric is permitted unless worn under a skirt.

Shorts– Type (jeans or khaki) colors: Jeans (black or

blue). Khaki (navy blue or khaki). Shorts must be

solid with no patterns, labels or other markings. I

No holes or tears in shorts. No gym or workout type

fabric is permitted. Shorts may not be shorter than 3

inches above the knee. No cut-offs are allowed. All

shorts must have a hem.

Skirts/Dresses/ Skorts/ Jumpers-Colors: navy

blue or khaki. No jean, denim or skin tight material

is permitted. No shorter than 3 inches above the

knee.

Sweaters/Sweatshirts—Colors: navy blue, light

blue, yellow, black, or white. When wearing a

sweater or sweatshirt, a standard school shirt must

be worn underneath with the collar showing.

Shoes— Closed-toe shoes and sneakers of any kind

are allowed. Boots are also permitted. Shoes may not

have any heels over 1 inch.

Friday Spirit Day

Fridays have been designated as

Spirit Days at Fair Oaks!

On Fridays only, students may wear the following:

Griffin Middle school shirts)

School Attire Prohibitions

Tank tops, spaghetti straps, bare midriff tops

Opened toed shoes, sandals, flip flops.

Clothing with logos or manufacturer’s trade-

marks with writing or images of substances that

are illegal for young people (i.e. drugs, alcohol or

tobacco products) or are otherwise offensive,

lewd, indecent, vulgar, obscene, profane, gang-

related or constitute racial or ethnic slurs .

Special exceptions to

marcas.

No se permiten pantalones de tela tipo gimnasio o

entrenamiento

No pantalones con agujeros o que estén desgarrados.

No se permiten licras u otras telas ajustadas a la piel a

menos que se usen debajo de una falda.

Pantalones cortos– Tipo: jeans o caqui. colores: Jean

negro o azul, Caqui: azul marino o caqui(marrón). Los

pantalones cortos deben ser sólidos, sin patrones, eti-

quetas u otras marcas.

No agujeros o que estén desgarrados. No se permiten pan-

talones de tela tipo gimnasio o entrenamiento

Los pantalones cortos no pueden ser más cortos que 3 pul-

gadas por encima de la rodilla. No se permiten flecos. To-

dos los pantalones cortos deben tener un dobladillo.

Faldas / Vestidos / Falda-pantalón -Colores: azul

marino o caqui. No se permiten de material ajustado a

la piel. No menos de 3 pulgadas por encima de la

rodilla.

Suéteres / Sudaderas — Colores: azul marino, azul

claro, amarillo, negro o blanco. Cuando se use un

suéter o sudadera, se debe usar una camisa de uniforme

de la escuela debajo y que se muestre el cuello de la

camisa.

Zapatos: zapatos cerrados y zapatillas de deporte de

cualquier tipo. Las botas también están permitidas. Los

zapatos no pueden tener tacones de más de 1 pulgada.

Viernes Día del Espíritu

¡Los Viernes están designados como

Días del Espíritu Escolar de Fair Oaks!

Solo los Viernes, los estudiantes pueden usar lo si-

guiente:

Uniforme Escolar.

o

Camiseta de Fair Oaks, Cobb County, Osborne o

Griffin Middle School.

Prohibiciones en el uso del Uniforme Escolar

Camisetas sin mangas, camisas strapless con ti-

rantes, camisetas con la cintura descubierta.

Zapatos de punta abierta, sandalias, chanclas.

Ropa con logotipos o marcas comerciales del fa-

bricante con escritura o imágenes de sustancias

que son ilegales para los jóvenes (por ejemplo,

drogas, alcohol o productos de tabaco) o que sean

ofensivas, indecentes, vulgares, obscenas,

profanas, relacionadas con pandillas o cons-

tituyan insultos raciales o étnicos.

Excepciones Especiales del

Días de actividades especiales según lo designado

por la dirección.

Excursiones (solo si el maestro le informa de
