FACTS OF THE CASE Two teenage boys, Danny and Paul, were over at Pauls house chillin’ before a party. Paul’s dad came home boasting about his new raise. He continued to go to the kitchen a bring out 4 bottles of champagne. They all toasted and had a glass before sitting down to eat dinner. By the time they were eating they were on their 2nd glass, and that soon led to the 3rd and 4th. After dinner while Paul parents were cleaning up and left the room, danny and Paul snuck some more champagne. His parents had already told him that he could borrow the car that night to go to the party.

FACTS CONTINUEDPaul’s parents wanted to go out and celebrate for his raise. They decided to walk to the tavern because they knew they would be drinking. They had left the keys at the house. Paul and Danny went ahead and took the car without double checking with his parents since they had been drinking. While on the way to the party Paul got onto a highway where the speed limit was 55 mph. he was soon going 78 mph. a state trooper saw this and turned his lights on to pull him over. Paul freaked out, lost control of the car and swerved into a telephone pole. Paul suffered a concussion and a few scrapes and bruises. But Danny was thrown from the car and broke his spine and had multiple head injuries.

OUTCOME I believe the welbys should be found guilty and have jail time,

for allowing minors to drink and leaving them with access to a car. Danny and his family will never get there lives back and some one has to pay for that.
