WIFI CARD CONFIGURATION PROCEDURE ON
PHOTOVOLTAIC INVERTER
.
’
Position yourself in front of the inverter and check that the home Wi-Fi network signal reaches the position in which the
inverter is installed, by searching for the Wi-Fi network using a smartphone or PC. If the Wi-Fi network signal is present in the position where the inverter is installed, you can proceed with the configuration procedure.
If the Wi-Fi signal does not reach the inverter, it is necessary to provide a third party system that amplifies the signal and takes it to the installation position.
NB: The following procedure can be performed either using a smartphone or a PC.
1. Search for wireless networks, the Wi-Fi card network will be displayed, such as: AP_0502173653
The number indicates the serial number of the Wi-Fi card, which can be verified by checking the smaller sticker on the
lower left side of the inverter.
2. Open a browser page and enter the following IP address in the search bar to access the internal Wi-Fi card web
server:
10.10.100.254 Enter the default username and password as seen below: admin
3. The page seen below will open:
4. Click Wizard to start the Configuration Wizard.

5. Flag the Wireless connection and select SOFAR as the inverter brand then click next.
6. From the list of available wireless networks, check the home network to which the Wi-Fi card is to be
connected, then click next.
NB: Verify that the signal strength is greater than 30%, if this is not the case, make sure that the aerial has been extracted sufficiently, as shown in the diagram on the next page.
If the antenna has been correctly extracted, it is necessary to bring the router closer or install a repeater or signal amplifier.
