• It was connected to the Missouri river.
• The beginnings of the Oregon trail were trappers and traders from about 1811-1840
• They travelled from the east to the west
• They rarely got attacked

Cowboys had many ways to travel such as walking,wagons,horses
Cowboys usally had horses
Weapons
In the wild west there were lots of weapons on the cowboys side guns such as
Winchester rifle cattlemen piston and double barrelled shotgun on the natives side spears

The cowboys goal basically was to get the buffalo from the west and move them to the east as buffalo were dropping in numbers because they were food for the cowboys
