WILDLIFE EXPLORERS Session Focus Children will use a simple map to find facts about threatened uk nature. Curriculum Links PSHEE (PSED): Confident to try new activities; Care for their environment. Literacy: Use descriptive language to communicate with others. Geography: Map skills: Orientate a map; Know the 4 main compass directions; Follow a route. Science: Identify a variety of species; Understand that some species face dangers and threats. Resources Simple maps of the outdoor area, with 6 points marked on and numbered 1-6. 6 threatened nature facts (scroll down for samples which may be used), compasses (optional). Preparation Make the maps ready and hide 6 facts about nature in each location. Key Vocabulary key features, direction, position, orientate, location.
