4-H’ers attended 4-H Day at the UGA Gymnastics Match. Romaisa Aamir, Addie Armour, Alaina Callaway, RJ Carnes, Stephanie Colunga, Whitney Dawson, Emily Denard, Emily Eligio, Kara Gammon, Kaci Gammon, Emily Hardy, Mattie Heard, Maggie Maxisen, Kylie Pruitt, Garston Townsend, Jake Tucker, and Kennedy Wallace. Adults accompanying the 4-H’ers were Volun-teers—Mrs. Lori Tucker, Mrs. Stephanie Chapman, and Mrs. Audra Armour, 4-H Agent.

Event Registration Information: Registration fees must be paid by deadline date to be considered registered or a late fee will be charged. Refunds will be given if registration is cancelled before deadline date or if someone on the waiting list fills the vacancy. No refunds for unexcused absences, missed or skipped events. Registration over the phone is acceptable for activities requesting pre-registration with no money involved.

Junior Journal (Activities for 7th and 8th graders only)

Jr. Conference—6th, 7th and 8th grades-”Decode the Decades” on November 7-8, 2020 at Rock Eagle 4-H Center. There will be workshops, games, service projects, Clo-vers and Company performance and of course you will meet old friends and make new ones. Cost is $40.00 (a great discount) before October 16 and $80.00 after October 16. Jr. DPA-If you are interested in going to Jr. DPA and have not signed up for a project you need to do so now. If you have any questions you need to contact Mrs. Audra. Port-folio drafts are due Wednesday, November 18. Final portfolios are due Friday, Decem-ber 18. Contest is March 5-7, 2021 at Rock Eagle 4-H Center.

Activities & Events for 4-H’ers

Cotton Boll/Consumer Judging Jamboree - Cotton Boll/Consumer Judging Jamboree - This year we will be judging vending machine snacks, smartwatches, pajama pants, and fit-ness centers. We will practice on Tuesday afternoons through October 27. The contest is Monday, November 2. Van will pick up at schools. Grades 6-12 only. BB Team—If interested please call the 4-H office for more details. (9 yrs old to ninth grade) Registration forms can be picked up at the 4-H office. Registration cost is $60 Air Rifle/22 Team—If interested please call the 4-H Office for more details. (9th grade to 12th grade). Orientation will be held at a later date. Season will resume in February. Shotgun Team—If interested please call the 4-H Office for more details. (7th grade to 12th grade). Orientation will be held at a later date. Season will resume in February. Pop Tabs—4-H is collecting Pop Tabs for Community Service. Turn in full gallon size bags to the Extension Office for 10 Bulldog Bucks. . Precision Ag-6th-12th grades. Learn ag computer programs on Fridays Oct 2, 16, 23 at the 4-H office from 1:00-4:00pm.

Awards Our last 4-H year was cut short due to Covid-19 and we were unable to cel-ebrate our spectacular 4-H’ers with our annual 4-H Awards Banquet in May. So in celebration of 4-H week, October 5-9, we will be recognizing our competitive event winners for 2019-2020 on our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/UGA.EXTENSION.WILKESCO).
