old mail his Mom had saved for him in a box-sentimental items
for him, Elmer a special Duck stamp his Grandson purchased
ON LINE, Sandra a Space folder & FDC's (Fantastic!), Gary a
set of 9 stamps from 1980 Zaire & souvenir sheet that was never
issued, Larry had Post Cards and some FDC's Lindbergh Flight
St Louis 1928 Air Mail. See photos at end of Newsletter. Lots of
interesting items and conversations.
February 23 – The US White Plains Souvenir Sheet of 1926;
Rod Juell.. #630 commemorates the 150th anniversary of the
Battle of White Plains, NY , a Revolutionary War battle in
1776. Washington Lost!.. #629 Hamilton's battery2 cent stamp
which was issued in 1926 in a 100-stamp sheet was reissued as a
special 25-stamp sheet with a commemorative inscription in the
margin for the International Philatelic Exhibition, the FIRST US
souvenir sheet. The stamp shows a gun crew in action, four
men in Continental uniform with cannonballs and ammunition
This special sheet was only available for purchase at the show
and at the Philatelic Agency in Washing DC. They were NOT
issued to postmasters for sale to the public. Rod showed sheets
signed by the Designer,
Engraver and Postmaster
General.
He has a slide show of the

lots of visiting, conversations
and buying/selling after
Rod's very informative
presentation.

room on the tables for other items. When anyone BIDS on a single page binder item, they should take it out of the binder and place
