daughters died in infancy and one son died in India at the age of five
● Dorothy became mentally unstable until her death in 1807
● Married two more times

October 2, 1792● Went to India as missionary in 1793● Scriptures were translated into forty
languages● College professor● Founder of college in India● India became open to missionaries● Sati was prohibited● About 700 converts
