Complete parking regulations are available by phone request and online. Everyone who parks on campus is bound by these regulations. The University of Colorado Boulder is granted its au - thority from Colorado Revised Statute 23-5-107 to create rules and regulations including but not limited to control of parking spaces, assignment of parking permits, re - moval of vehicles parked in violation, and assessment of fines for violations. Parking Permits Faculty, staff, and student parking permits are avail - able for purchase online at specified times. Personal permits must be paid for by the individual, not with university funds. Display your permit when parking in your regular lot or in your overflow lot if your pri - mary lot is full. Be sure to register all permitted ve - hicles you will park on campus with PTS. Return your permit for a prorated refund if you no longer need it. Do not give it or sell it to another person. On occa - sions when routine parking patterns are changed because of an event, parking staff will provide permit holders access to a temporary parking lot. Visitors and Vendors Visitors and vendors pay for campus parking by pur - chasing a permit or by paying a meter, pay station, or attendant. Short-term visitor and vendor permits are available at 1050 Regent Drive. All authorized parking areas at CU-Boulder are designated by signs. Special Events If you are planning a campus event that requires parking for more than four vehicles, please call 303-492-7384 for assistance. We create parking and traffic plans for nearly 2,500 events each year. We can help with all parking arrangements including those for people with disabilities. University Holidays Campus parking is free on university holidays when business offices are closed. See www.colorado.edu/humres/ holidays for a complete list of official CU-Boulder holidays. Reciprocal Parking Student, faculty and staff permit holders from UCCS, CU Denver, and Anschutz Medical campuses may park free in CU-Boulder Main Campus lots 308 and 436 and in East Campus lot 560 by displaying their home campus permit. Parking in other lots requires a fee. CU-Boulder permit holders visiting other CU campuses may park free by displaying their valid CU-Boulder parking permits in designated lots on those campuses. Pay gray and blue meters seven days a week, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Park at blue meters only when displaying a disability placard or license plate. Many pay stations accept $4 visitor payments between 5 p.m. and 7:30 business hours. Display the receipt issued by the pay station on your dashboard. Pay red meters 24/7. Weeknights and Weekends: Some parking lots are free from 5 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. weeknights, Saturdays, and Sundays. Several lots with pay stations become visitor lots from 5 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. weeknights, Saturdays, and Sundays. Pay $4 at the pay station, and display the receipt on your dashboard. Loading Docks: Docks exist at most buildings. Park free at a dock for 15 minutes while loading or unloading a vehicle. Take care not to block driveways or dumpsters.
