Concept StatementI’d like to create this professional-looking cite that attracts and encourages
the exploration of my portfolio and ultimately have contact with me for work. I’d
like to express and show my experience with design. The graphics and portfolio
examples will convey to the user that I have knowledge and or experience in
fields of design web design, interactive media, print and graphic design. The user
will primarily be potential employers and freelance opportunities, secondary user
will be colleagues who will offer recommendations and referrals. The site will
progress and mature as I progress through my Bachelor’s degree in Graphic
Design at the Art Institute of Seattle, reflecting each course objective.

The Gallery:Past class assignments, and some personal work,. for the viewing of such work the gallery was made. First for paint-ings of renowned artists now to show off anything done visually. Nothing really special in its self, but from what the Viewer takes form it.
This Gallery shows you, and tells you a little about the piece. For example:
Social network moodsthis was made for a social network like twitter to so the user can change their profile picture to what ever their mood may be at the time of posting a comment, letting their followers know what mood they are in, so to better understand the post written. Salving misunderstandings on social networks, that come form not knowing how the poster is really feeling at time of post.

others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.I
believe in manicures. I believe in overdressing. I believe in primping at leisure and wearing lipstick. I believe in pink. I believe
happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day, and... I believe in miracles.I believe in pink. I believe that
laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in the distinction of being one movie star who, by all laws of logic, should never have made it. At each stage
of my career, I lacked the experience.I was asked to act when I couldn't act. I was asked to sing 'Funny Face' when I couldn't sing, and dance with Fred Astaire when I couldn't dance - and do all kinds of things I wasn't prepared for.
Then I tried like mad to cope with it.I was born with an enormous need for affection, and a terrible need to give it.I'm an introvert... I love being by myself, love being outdoors, love taking a
long walk with my dogs and looking at the trees, flowers, the sky.I'm half-Irish, half-Dutch, and I was born in Belgium. If I was a dog, I'd be in a hell of a mess!I've been lucky. Opportunities don't often come
along. So, when they do, you have to grab them.If I get married, I want to be very married. If I'm honest I have to tell you I still read fairy-tales and I like them best of all. “I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I
believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest an you do, so 'don't fuss, dear; get on with it'.” “For attractive lips, speak words of kindness. For lovely eyes, seek out the good in
people. For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry. For beautiful hair, let a child run his or her fingers through it once a day.

Talking A new graphic design
style emerged in Switzerland in the
1950s that would become the predominant graphic
style in the world. Images and sans serif typefaces were
organized by geometrical grids, and became the classic emblems of
graphic design. How “the Swiss Style” design remains an indispensable part of
today’s graphic language, Mr. Weingart will talk more about it.
Wolfgang Weingart, one of the world’s leading figures in the area of graphic design, will visit the University of Washington and give a free public lecture about “Swiss Style”.
Weingart has taught typography at the Basel School of Design in Switzerland since 1968. He has lectured and taught extensively in Europe, North and South America, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. His experimental work in typography has influenced the course of design history in the latter decades of the 20th century.

Kayaking is a popular sport for all ages and requires no previous experience. Several of our Kayaking Tours this year are focused around the sites of Washington D.C.. Experienced kayak instructors and guides have shown clients the thrill of whitewater kayaking, the beauty of nature and the satisfaction of acquiring new skills. We maintain a low student/teacher ratio which enhances student progression and each class is taught by a qualified paddler certified by the American Canoe Association. This creates a learning environment that is systematic, easy to follow and fun. Locations for kayak training vary by class but may be held at the Potomac River, Chesapeake Bay or at an area pool. Kayak Instructor Certification and River Rescue Courses are also offered.

2008 - 2010Highland High School
Highland Schools exist to help children learn so that they can succeed in life.
High schoolMy high school Career was a little strange compared
to most since most students graduate in classes over a
hundred students i did not, i started in a school with
about three hundred students in my class then moved
to Craigmont and that changed immediately, My junior
year there was only twenty kid in my class then when it
was actually time to graduates all that was left was eight
graduates and one foreign exchange student. I only stayed
out of school for about a month until I went to the Art
institute of Seattle.

In 1957, on television’s night beat, mike wallace
asked william carlos williams if he thought that e.E. Cummings’ poem “(im)c-a-t(mo) / b,i;l: e” was really a poem. Williams said no. Maybe the question
was too blunt; maybe the poet considered this print ideogram of a motionless
cat too juvenile. But if william carlos williams, himself a leading experimental poet of the time, was not able to recognize that outburst of phonemes and punctuation marks as poetry, what hope was there for the average readers of the time “mostpeople,” as
cummings liked to call them not to mention all the folks residing in televisionland? Over the course of a 45-year career, cummings wrote many traditional poems, at least poems that would look like poems if viewed at arm’s length. He
could be childlike, bitterly satiric,
as well as political. Many
of his poems, especially the
sillier ones, feature
comical end rhyme. The sonnet
was such a favorite
form of his that examples were
included in every one of his collections. But
it was his typographical high jinks that appealed to his fans and appalled his detractors and secured his broader reputation.
In the long revolt against inherited forms that has by now become the narrative of 20th-century poetry in english, no poet was more flamboyant or more recognizable in his iconoclasm than cummings. By erasing the sacred left margin, breaking down words into syllables and letters, employing eccentric punctuation, and indulging in all kinds of print-based shenanigans, cummings brought into question some of our basic assumptions about poetry, grammar, sign, and language itself, and he also succeeded in giving many a typesetter a headache. Like pound, who never wrote an obedient line, cummings reveled in breaking the rules of grammar, punctuation, orthography, and lineation. Measured by sheer boldness of experiment, no american poet compares to him, for he slipped houdini-like out of the locked box of the stanza, then leaped from the platform of the poetic line into an unheard-of way of writing poetry.
That said, determining cummings’ influence and his present stature in the poetry world calls for a more measured view. Some honor cummings as the granddaddy of all american innovators in poetry and ascribe to him a diverse progeny that includes virtually any poet who considers the page a field
Is That a Poem? The case for E.E. Cummings.
