Welcome to December! It is so hard to believe that we are already at the holidays, but we are excited to celebrate. December will be a quick but very fun month at Kids’ Zone. We are going to start off the month with Classic Game Week. We will play some classic group games, and have tournaments like a Tenzi Tourna-ment and a doubles tournament, and get to put our creativity to use by creating our own board games. The following week will be Super Hero Week, and while we are excited to do activities about all of our favorite heroes, we will also be preparing for our annual family night with Heartland. This will take place on Thursday, December 12, from 6:30-7:30 at Williamsburg. Come ready to eat some Christmas cookies, play some minute to win it games, and most importantly play some dodgeball, so that we can retain our trophy for another year. Our last week before winter break will be Holiday week. We will do some fun seasonal crafts and play a lot of fun holiday games. On Friday. December 20, we will watch a Christmas movie to kick off our holiday break, and children are welcome to bring or wear their pajamas. A couple of important things to remember about winter break: -We have day off trips available on December 23, 26– 27, 30, and January 2-3. -There is no Park District Programming on December 24-25 or December 31 and January 1. -All day off trips run out of Western Avenue School. -The registration deadline for all trips is December 16. As always please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns. Have a safe and relaxing holiday break, and we will see you next year!

GENERAL KIDS’ ZONE REMINDERS We ask that you make sure the kids do NOT bring any toys

from home. We don’t want anything to go missing or break

while at Kids’ Zone.

Please make sure your child is dressing appropriately for the

weather. We will enjoy the outdoors as much as possible!

Label your children’s coats and other belongings. Be sure to

check our lost and found daily!

Please remember if your child is going to be absent to call the

site to let us know. Our phone is only on during program operat-

ing hours but feel free to call anytime. Please leave a message

with the date and your child's name if calling them in for the

day.
