Jazz/ Hip-Hop Learn both Hip-Hop and Jazz dance moves in this high energy class. Parents are allowed to stay for the first 10 minutes on the first day of class and are encouraged to attend the last class for a great recital. Instructor: Dance Arts Academy

TINY TOTS BALLET Magic Wands, Teddy Bears & Tutus! Your child will love this action packed FUN class. They will be introduced to ballet, creative movement, learn ballet steps, use props, sing songs and begin to understand dance terminology. (Parents wait outside of the classroom.) TAP/BALLET This tap/ballet class introduces children to the basics of both ballet and tap, combining creative movement, grace and balance. WILLOW GLEN CHILDREN’S THEATER (WGCT) Give your child the chance to act on stage! Kids participate in the entire process of creating an original play, from the first spark of an idea to the final moment of taking a bow on stage. The workshop draws children in right from the start with theatre games and impro-vised scenes. Our unique approach will teach your kid tools that they can apply to their everyday life and will help them make new friends through the magic of theatre. KINDERPREP This class prepares your child for kindergarten with age-appropriate activities, learning concepts, socialization skills and fun. LITTLE LEARNERS Children will be introduced to socialization, positive self-esteem, following directions and simple learning concepts. SJ RECREATION PRESCHOOL Please consider the following policies and requirements before registering for a San Jose Recreation Preschool Class: Requirements for parent participation, volunteer, snack, etc varies by center. Teacher to child ratio is 1:10 or better. Participants must be toilet trained by first day of program. Non-registered children are not allowed in the class at any time. Please make arrangements for siblings on your participation day. A birth certificate may be requested for age confirmations. The City of San Jose, Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services provide recreations programs ONLY and not licensed

childcare. After reaching the class capacity your child can be put on a waitlist. If a spot becomes available at any SJ Recreation Preschool center, you

will receive a call and be given the option to enroll at that center or to stay on the waiting list. Monthly payment plan is available with auto-pay on the 20th of each month. A valid credit card must be on file for monthly auto-pay.

Enhance Fitness is a group exercise class that improves your balance, flexibility, bone density, endurance, coordination, mental sharpness and decreases your risk of falling through a structured exercise program that is adaptable to all fitness levels from beginning to advanced.

Feldenkrais Gain an awareness of healing through Feldenkrais exercise. Improve your flexibility and reduce muscular tension while enhancing mobility, balance, and coordination. Safe comfortable movement sequences from a certified teacher. This is ideal for people with arthritis, fibromyalgia, and other painful conditions.

Get Fit While You Sit * Whether you walk or wheel, this fitness program is a good start. This program uses weighted balls, bands, mini ball and dowels for strength and coordination. Participants are encouraged to go at their own pace. Hope Services partners with us to offer this class at Willow Glen.

Stretching/Body Conditioning* Stretching is a great form of physical exercise that improves circulation, increases flexibility and helps relieve stress. Mats are provided for this class.

Organ & Piano Beginner/Intermediate* Learn to play 100’s of your favorite songs! Join others who enjoy playing the organ and piano. Lead a sing along at social gatherings and parties, be the life of the party!

Piano – Intermediate/Advanced * Did you know that playing the piano keeps the mind sharp while providing music enjoyment and wellness? Come and join this group of active adults who share the same interest as you, the piano. The piano program is for intermediate and advanced piano players who perform a song each week, while instructing each other on new music. Join the fun and meet new friends!

Senior Theater * Remember the days of acting in a play in school? Now’s the time to be a star again! Join other active adults who practice skits once a week and perform shows 3-4 times a year for the community. Beginners welcome!

AARP Tax Assistance (For ages 50+) Sign up in person at the Willow Glen Community Center office or by calling (408) 448-6400. Appointment times will be 8:45am, 9:45am, 10:45am, & 11:45am every Wednesday from February 4th to April 8th. Appointments will be reserved on a first come, first serve basis.

Bread Donation Wednesdays at 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., Fridays at 10:30 a.m. One loaf of bread per active adult family. FREE

Health Insurance Counseling (H.I.C.A.P.) By appointment only on the 2nd & 4th Tuesday of each month, 10:00am-1:00pm for one hour sessions. Must be 65+ . FREE

Senior Adult Legal Assistance (S.A.L.A.) By appointment only on the first and third Thursday of each month 10:00-12:00pm. Half hour legal assistance for seniors who are age 65+, and also a Santa Clara County resident. FREE

Senior Peer Advocates (S.P.A.) Volunteers will help you navigate to find help. They provide information in various languages and help connect you to many community resources, services, and benefits such as: Transportation, Housing, Food & Nutrition, Health Care, Health Promotion, Care-giving and Family Support, Legal Services, and Social/Educational Activities. Half hour session. By appointment only Tuesdays 1:00-4:00pm. FREE

WILLOWS CAFE Lunch is served Monday - Friday At 12:00 pm in the dining room.
