2018 ELECTION/NOMINATING COMMITTEE REPORT

Sheldon Matthews, Chairperson of Wanigas Credit Union’s Board of Directors, appointed Gus Alexander, Pat McCulley, B.J. Osborne and Tom Pesta to serve on the Election/Nominating Committee. Any member of Wanigas Credit Union who is 18 years of age or older and meets the qualifications, set by the Board of Directors, is eligible to hold an elective office at the Credit Union.

The election of Board of Directors and Credit Committee members will be held at each branch office of Wanigas Credit Union from Tuesday, February 20, 2018 until Monday, February 26, 2018. To allow the members to have at least 24 hours to vote, voting will be during each branch office’s fully operational, normal business hours. In addition, voting will be available prior to the beginning of the Annual Meeting at the Horizons Conference Center on Saturday, March 10, 2018. 

Each of the following nominees for elective office has met or exceeded the qualifications required for the position. Additional nominations may be submitted, if each nomination is supported by a petition signed by at least 1% of the members, or 264 members, who are eligible to vote by Friday, February 2, 2018.  Petition forms are available at each Credit Union branch.  There will be no nominations from the floor. The election will not be conducted by ballot when there is only one nominee for each position to be filled. There are (3) positions for three-year terms for the Board of Directors.  There is (1) position for a two-year term for the Credit Committee.

Larry has been a Wanigas member for 31 years.

Michael’s history of volunteer service with Wanigas Credit Union began in 2005. He has served on the Credit Committee for 11 years. Michael is currently a member of the Credit Committee and has been a Wanigas member for 46 years.

Valorie’s history of volunteer service with Wanigas Credit Union began in 2002. She has served on the Credit Committee for 6 years and on the Board of Directors for 10 years. Valorie is currently a member of the Board of Directors and has been a Wanigas member for 26 years.

Lisa’s history of volunteer service with Wanigas Credit Union began in 2005. She has served on the Credit Committee for 10 years and on the Board of Directors for 3 years. Lisa is currently a member of the Board of Directors and has been a Wanigas member for 22 years.
