winchat.e'e is still part of windows =- and still works. 6ervices and start or restart ?Network DDD6DA? &This will inform you that Network DD is also being restarted.
You may now open winchat.e'e and call other computers on your )*N. Of
course each computer needs to have the same trusted programs added.
winchat.e'e &actually netdde.e'e is a security risk because it allows
someone else to run software on your computer. "f you have a directconnection to the internet, this may be a dangerous program to run. "n
my case, " am behind a very secure firewall and have no access to the
internet e'cept via a secure server. "f you are in a company
environment, check with your "T security personnel before enablingthis or you may be inviting invasion of your computer. Net DD is a
known security risk. Aaking it a trusted program allows e'ternal
processes to start an run programs on your computer, so be careful.
" tested this in a business environment using active directory and
domainsrather than workgroups. This should work with a workgroupenvironment because the security constraints are less stringent.
Step (4)You may receive the above message for any of the following reasons/ There is no one at the other computer to answer.
