This week, John Yeager recognizes Michelle Morris for her outstanding work ethic. Michelle does a great job day-to-day as our accountant assistant, ensuring all invoices are processed on time and that all related reports are accurate for the firm. Michelle also exhibits great initiative, seeking out opportunities to help wherever it is needed. This is demonstrated by her offer to lead a key Salesforce data project, assist the Manufacturing/Distribution team with monthly meetings, and support the Insights Day planning committee. Her can-do attitude is welcomed by all she supports, and she is appreciated!

Please join John in applauding Michelle’s outstanding work ethic!

A Couple Other HR Notes...

If you haven’t already completed your annual self-evaluation and multi-rater, please remember the deadline to do so is next Wednesday, June 18th. If you have any questions about Halogen or the review process, just let Kim Hensarling know.

We also wanted to remind you of our 24-hour phone medical service. Initially contracted as “Consult-a-Doc”, the program is now “Tel-a-Doc” and has new contact information. You get all the same great features, like 24-hour phone support, with diagnoses and prescriptions for common ailments without the hassle of in-office doctor appointments. The new site is teladoc.com, and the number is 1-800-Teladoc. Handy!

The “WB Bombers” season is underway, led by softball king Seung Hyun Kang. Keith McWiliams and John Henriquez are also recruiting racers for the third annual “Down and Dirty Mud Race” in October. Tomorrow is the last day to register, so if you’re in, please just let Lisa McDonald know!

Virginia Jacob will be joining Tax Team 2 as a Tax Associate, also starting Monday, June 16th. She is also a graduate of the University of Georgia, with a Master’s degree in Accounting. Virginia was a Tax Administrative Assistant for Capital Investment Advisors while in school. She worked on various tax returns and used the RIA Tax Research software to research any tax law questions clients may have had. Aside from her tax work, Virginia also established 200 new investment accounts to investors. Welcome her by connecting with her on LinkedIn here.

Leigh Allen will be joining our Audit team as a Senior Associate starting Monday, June 23rd. Leigh is a graduate of Mercer University with a Masters in Accounting. She began work with CBIZ MHM shortly after graduation and has worked with them up until now. Leigh was an Audit Associate for the firm and handled a variety of tasks ranging from preparing work-papers to handling the preparation of Tax Returns as well. Leigh holds her CPA license and is very interested in moving into a more Audit-focused role. Welcome her by connecting with her on LinkedIn here.

Mary Beth Saylor has a great new win to report - Leapley Construction Group of Atlanta, LLC. Based in Atlanta, Leapley is quickly becoming one of the premier interior contractors of the Southeast. Mary Beth did such a knock-out job engaging this new client that she never even got all the way through the proposal process before they committed to WB! You can learn more about them here.

Tax partner Matt Levin has secured a new healthcare client for WB, Market Pharmacy. Through his superior business development, he was able to make the relationship, identify their needs, and connect them to Valerie Barckhoff for service. Market Pharmacy is another Atlanta-based client, located on Edgewood Avenue right by Grady Hospital.

Our head of audit, Greg Spangler, keeps the deals rolling in. We reported his win with Drug Transport, Inc. last week - it was quickly followed by another win with Avery Partners. Avery owns and operates healthcare companies in the Southeast. You can learn more about all they do by checking them out here.

Congrats go out to and all who helped secure these opportunities for the firm!
