Windows in the Earth:
The Scoop on Sod Houses
Sod Houses are intriguing, non
traditional places to call home
Originally, they were the homes of
pioneers living on prairies
Since wood is scarce out in the
prairie, sod (strips of grass and soil)
was used to construct shelter
Sod homes have advanced since
then, and they’re still used today on
several continents
They have old world charm with
modern bells and whistles
When was the last time you saw a
window on a hillside?
