Step 5: Import Music
![Page 11: Windows Movie Maker Laura Osterloo , Katelyn Templin, Lindsey Swier](https://reader035.vdocument.in/reader035/viewer/2022081513/56815e7d550346895dcd079e/html5/thumbnails/11.jpg)

![Page 12: Windows Movie Maker Laura Osterloo , Katelyn Templin, Lindsey Swier](https://reader035.vdocument.in/reader035/viewer/2022081513/56815e7d550346895dcd079e/html5/thumbnails/12.jpg)
The Music file will show up in your collection of photos (usually at the
beginning)Drag the file down to
where you would like it
to start For example: If you would
like it to start at the beginning, you would
drag it to in front of your first photo.
![Page 13: Windows Movie Maker Laura Osterloo , Katelyn Templin, Lindsey Swier](https://reader035.vdocument.in/reader035/viewer/2022081513/56815e7d550346895dcd079e/html5/thumbnails/13.jpg)
This will automatically convert your storyboard to a timeline
![Page 14: Windows Movie Maker Laura Osterloo , Katelyn Templin, Lindsey Swier](https://reader035.vdocument.in/reader035/viewer/2022081513/56815e7d550346895dcd079e/html5/thumbnails/14.jpg)
Storyboard vs. Timeline
A timeline enables you to set the duration of your slides, put the music exactly where you want it, as well as see all parts of your video and where they overlay all at the same time
![Page 15: Windows Movie Maker Laura Osterloo , Katelyn Templin, Lindsey Swier](https://reader035.vdocument.in/reader035/viewer/2022081513/56815e7d550346895dcd079e/html5/thumbnails/15.jpg)
Step 6: Editing Music
A particular song can be shortened or a particular part selected by clicking on either the end of the beginning
of a file (whichever part you’d like to cut out) and dragging in towards your desired spot in the song
By right clicking on the highlighted music file, you have the ability to change the volume of this particular song, fade it in
or fade it out…all very useful editing tools in making your
music “blend” with your photos.
![Page 16: Windows Movie Maker Laura Osterloo , Katelyn Templin, Lindsey Swier](https://reader035.vdocument.in/reader035/viewer/2022081513/56815e7d550346895dcd079e/html5/thumbnails/16.jpg)
Two or more songs…
Whether it be at the end of a song or after a song has been clipped, another song can be dragged down next to a previous song
By clicking on the second song and dragging it towards the first song, you will cause the first song to fade out as the second fades in.
![Page 17: Windows Movie Maker Laura Osterloo , Katelyn Templin, Lindsey Swier](https://reader035.vdocument.in/reader035/viewer/2022081513/56815e7d550346895dcd079e/html5/thumbnails/17.jpg)
