Wine Makes its Way to Windows apps on Android

Android applications on Windows, is it true? Yes, you are not in dream. Now, it is possible to see android application in your Windows phone with Wine. An update given by the Alexandre Julliard, the developer of Wine, about the Wine programs run on Android, at the 2013 Free and Open source Software Developers' European Meeting. Wine is one of the most popular software that turns Windows apps and software on Linux into an open source Android platform. Till now, the news for Windows apps on Android is buzzing, but it is not yet declared when this news turn into reality as “Wine for Android”. Hearing this news, Android developers are also expecting huge business from Android application development as users want to creativeness with Wine.

Being open source software, Wine enables to run Windows applications into UNIX based operating systems. Additionally, Wine also allows Windows applications to run on POSIX-compliant operating systems such as Mac OSX, Linux and BSD due to its high compatibility layer. Wine works by its own ways by translating Windows API calls into POSIX calls that result into better performance. It is also best for combining Windows apps into desktop.
