The Brut Réser ve Par t icul ière draws i ts strong personal i ty f rom an except ional

terroir. I t is composed of 20% of the Chardonnay grape var iety, for e legance

and del icacy, 40% of Pinot Noir, for roundness and structure and 40% of Pinot

Meunier for f rui t iness. 100 to 150 crus make up the composit ion. 15 to 35% of reser ve

wines are used to ensure that the qual i ty and sty le of the Brut Réser ve Par t icul ière

remains consistent year after year. Pale gold in colour with an abundance of del icate

bubbles. The nose is f loral , f rui t with subt le predominance of white f rui ts: pear, apple,

a lmonds and hazelnuts. Fresh opening, smooth, pleasant and balanced on the palate.

This salmon-pink, a lmost coppery coloured Cuvée is a favoured companion for a l l

memorable occasions. Made f rom 10% Chardonnay, giv ing elegance and f inesse,

60% Pinot Noir, adding roundness and structure and 30% Pinot Meunier for f rui t iness.

The nose is a real fest ival of red f rui ts , with f lavours of blackberr ies, raspberr ies,

redcurrants and strawberr ies that del icately l inger and give of f a feel ing of l ightness

and convivial i ty. Whi lst on the palate i t is f rui ty and wel l balanced. The carbonic

macerat ion used in making this Rosé champagne, results in a f rui t ier wine.

The Oldest Wine House in Champagne

In 1584 Pierre Gosset, alderman of Aÿ and wine-grower, made still, mostly red, wines from the grapes he harvested from his own vines. In those days, Burgundy & Champagne vied for pride of place at the table of the Kings of France. The reputation of the wine of Aÿ was such that François the First had his own winery built there, which is now owned by Champagne Gosset. Then, in the 18th century the wine made in and around Aÿ began to bubble, and the Gosset family turned naturally to the production of champagne.

Gosset continues to be made in the time honoured traditional methods including hand harvesting of grapes and manual riddling. The blends are made with the best villages (crus) of the Marne region (Grands Crus and Premiers Crus) with an average classification of 95% on the official Cru scale.

of Chardonnay (46 %), Pinot Noir (44%) and Pinot Meunier (10%) including 12% of

nose of f lowers (daffodi l , hyacinths, i r ises) and f rui ts (black cherr ies, blackberry, dry-

ing rais ins) on a backdrop of roasted scents. The palate is ample, v inous and concen-

Wel l -structured, e legant and complex, the palate demonstrates r ichness f rom the

Pinot Noir balanced by f resh acidity f rom the Chardonnay, leaving a creamy

In 2003, Brent Marris began his search for a unique vineyard property. He discovered an exceptional 150 hectare property on the banks of the Waihopai River. Tucked between the Delta Hills and the Waihopai River, the property flows over three distinct terraces of clay and ancient river shingles. The property is also privileged to be home to two breeding pairs of extremely rare New Zealand falcon - the karearea. Amongst the twisted vines of our ancestry, were the families - de Marisco, who in the twelfth and thirteenth centuries habited (in part) the island of Lundy off the south-west coast of England. The growing condit ions in Marlborough mean that i t is wel l suited for producing world

c lass Chardonnay. The long, even growing season accentuates a sty le of Chardonnay

which balances concentrat ion and complexity, whi lst st i l l retaining the f inesse that

a higher natural ac idity br ings. This wine is made using tradit ional Burgundian

techniques using the Mendoza c lone of Chardonnay f rom vine stock around 25yrs old.

Dense garnet purple colour with aromas of complex blackcurrant, p lum and dark forest

Fresh f rui t characters f rom Hawkes Bay chardonnay such as grapefruit and melon are

unencumbered with the minimal use of oak, in a Chabl is vein. The wine is r ich and

Flavours and aromas of red currant, cranberry and strawberry gent ly compliment the

The leather and plum aromas of Merlot , the aromatic spice and red currant character

of Cabernet Franc, the cassis aroma and the backbone f rom Cabernet Sauvignon with

oak characters add complexity. The wine displays the desirable character of e legance

with power. This is a powerful wine, but i t a lso shows softness and great balance.

Wild raspberry and plum frui t aromas with spice character ize the wine, with a l i t t le

vani l l in f rom oak barrels . This is a result of fu l ly r ipened f rui t under our temperate

condit ions. This is an elegant wine, with f i rm but not heavy tannin structure. There

is great persistence of the wi ld f rui t f lavours and l icor ice on the f in ish.

The 5 t radit ional var iet ies of Bordeaux, as grown in the Gimblett Gravels region of

Hawke's Bay, have produced a wine of power, e legance and complexity. The beauti ful

r ich red colour and the black f rui ts aromas and f lavours are complimented by a

mouth-f i l l ing structure and a f ine-grained texture.

The colour is a deep, v ibrant cr imson. Blackberry, black pepper, savoury and spice

e lements are prominent, with powerful , but r ipe and round tannins giv ing the wine

great structure. Oak aging plays a minor par t and the wine l ives on i ts f rui t .

Combined with the good acidity, these character ist ics mean excel lent aging potent ial .

The colour is a beaut i ful green/gold, with depth. The aromas are reminiscent of honey

and crystal l ized apr icots. The botryt is has a big ef fect , with hints of the f loral c i t rus

and jasmine aspects of Viognier showing. I t is very luscious and concentrated, with

strong f lavours of dr ied f rui ts , especial ly apr icots and a long f in ish.

but in the end, is Tr ini ty Hi l l ’s t r ibute to the Gimblett Gravels, emerging as one of the

greatest new red wine areas in the world.

meet our str ingent demands. The previous v intages of this wine have become highly

col lect ible and Homage is a l ready one of New Zealand’s most iconic and

internat ional ly recognized labels. This label has won 27 gold medals or equivalent

and 8 t rophies, s ince 2004. 2007 produced a wine that is more ref ined, e legant and

f ragrant than the great 2006 and wi l l mature into a beaut i ful wine, with e lements of

black f rui ts such as plum, blackberry, cheery and cassis . The wine shows great e l -

egance, with concentrat ion and weight. The structure is t ight and tense, which

wi l l a l low the wine to age graceful ly for many years.

Mt Difficulty is a boutique winery located in Bannockburn, Central Otago, and was named after the mountain overlooking Felton Road and the Southern Cromwell Basin.

The brand started in 1998 with a very small production of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, which went on to win gold medals at major New Zealand wine shows. A new state of the art winery was commissioned in 2001 to produce handmade Pinot Noir, along with separate facilities for other varieties such as a specific barrel hall for Chardonnay.

Warm summer growing condit ions have resulted in a r ipe t ropical f rui t Sauvignon

Blanc in a typical Marlborough sty le. The wine displays gooseberry f lavours

intermingled with dr ied hay; this moves into a ful l mid-palate and then the wine

f in ishes with l inger ing passionfruit and rhubarb. This wine is ideal for fun- loving

summer evening dr inking.

This wine has aromatics reminiscent of a f rui t cocktai l fu l l of white pear, passionfruit

and melon. On the palate this is dupl icated with lovely r ich f lavours, a textured

mid palate and an of f -dry f in ish. The grapes for this wine come from selected

Central Otago vineyards. The f rui t was hand har vested and fermented cool , to help

maximise var ietal character.

Floral and r ipe stone f rui t notes compete in the aroma of this Riesl ing. On the palate

these f lavours dance in harmony. Residual sugar has been retained to balance the high

natural ac idity. This residual sugar has also f leshed out the mid palate of the wine.

This wine wi l l r ichly reward those who can cel lar i t .


The cool v intage of 2009 has resulted in aromas of nectar ine and peach blossom

mingled with Bon Chret ien pear. The palate displays luscious f rui t in the same

vein, whi le the mid palate is fu l l , creamy and wel l textured. The wine has a r ich,

mineral ly, stone f rui t dr iven f in ish.


This Chardonnay is a l l about concentrat ion and complexity, with predominant stone

f rui t and pineapple backed up with a lovely mineral i ty. The palate displays lovely

r ipe peach characters, moving into a mid palate with an excel lent creamy texture

and weight f rom extended lees contact and barrel ageing.


This wine ref lects the nature of a warmer v intage displaying great concentrat ion and

balance; black cherry and blackberry dominate the aroma and these are underpinned

by Chr istmas cake spice and l iquorice. The wine has a dark concentrated f ront palate,

which displays these same characters in abundanceThe wine f in ishes with a lovely

velvety combinat ion of tannin, f rui t and acidity.

The aim has been to craft a delectable savoury dry Rosé sourced f rom purpose grown

Pinot Noir in our Target Gul ly Vineyard. This wine displays a lovely pale red rose petal ,

wine begins with r ich soft red f rui ts through to a r ichly textured mid palate; f rui t and

Croft 10 Year Old is a blend of di f ferent years, aged for an average of 10 years in oak

casks, then bott led for immediate dr inking. Long ageing in casks in the cool and dark

lodges of Vi la Nova de G aia gives i t a combinat ion of r ich mel low frui t coupled with

s l ight nutt iness. I t has an excel lent balance and concentrat ion of f lavours and aromas

which great ly appeals to the connoisseur.
