Wing Ding 2013

As can be seen by the photographs we had another great turnout for this really intense day of squash. Even the super strength of Batman or the Green Lantern flagged under such conditions of playing

13 games of three minutes and running between courts to each successive game. The squash corridors were full of sweating and running super heroes, tigers, astronauts and rainbow people who nobody quite understood what they were supposed to be!

Tim Everest the Wing Ding organizer had this to say:

“The 15th Wing Ding was a great success on Saturday 23rd where we raised a significant sum for the RTHK/SCMP Operation Santa Claus Appeal. We were the third largest donor to the appeal last year after Morgan Stanley and UBS with HK$ 1,814,209.00 and I am striving hard to break through the magical HK$ 2,000,000.00 this year…we are currently at HK$ 1,340,563.00 with donations coming in each day…

The Operation Santa Claus Appeal is jointly sponsored by RTHK and SCMP who as media groups, help to create awareness for the plight of people in our community. Many of these people suffer in silence and the Wing Ding helps to bring relief to these desperate lives. Showing kindness, putting smiles on faces, making dreams come true – what better time to do this than at Christmas time. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support of the Wing Ding as a brand for good – you have helped us make a bigger difference in the community.”
