EDUCATION & LEADERSHIP CPR/AED FOR THE COMMUNITY AGES 12+This CPR/AED certification class is done through the American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI). The class will be done in a blended style - two hours of the class will be completed online and two hours are hands on skills in the classroom. The online instructions will be sent to the participants one week before the class and will need to be completed by the date of the class. The certification covers infant, child and adult CPR and is good for two years. This class is for anyone who is required to be CPR/AED certified for job purposes, for parents with small children or anyone wanting to learn a new skill. AMERICAN RED CROSS LIFEGUARD TRAINING AGES 15+American Red Cross Lifeguarding course teaches candidates the knowledge and skills needed to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies. YMCA SWIM INSTRUCTOR TRAINING AGES 15+Get the skills you need to teach YMCA swim lessons to all ages. This course provides participants with the basic knowledge and skills to teach YMCA swim lessons to parent-child pairs, preschoolers, youth and adults. It includes both land and pool sessions, lesson planning, teaching methodology, class organization, class components and skills for the YMCA progressive program. The course also covers the Y’s expectations for instructors and outlines their responsibilities for teaching YMCA swim lessons that are student centered, values oriented and safe and effective in teaching aquatic skills. What: Kids in grades K-5 complete 25.2 miles with friends and family before April 18. On Race Day, all participants complete the final mile together.

When: Sat, Apr 18, 2015 at 7:30am. Race starts at 8:00am sharp.
