• Canada is located in the northern-most region of North America.

• Canada is the second largest country in the world, after Russia.

• Due to its size, Canada features a variety of climates and terrains

• The country touches 3 oceans—the Atlantic, the Arctic, and the Pacific

• Canada's border with the United States is 5,526 miles in length and includes a 1,539-mile border with Alaska

• The main languages of Canada are English and French.

• The main religion is Christianity (about 77%). About 16.5 % of the population have no religion.

• The life expectancy for males is 78 years and 83 years for females.

• The 2010 Winter Olympics were the third Olympics hosted by Canada, and the first by the province of British Columbia.

• Canada's Men's Olympic Hockey Team appeared in 17 Olympic Games over the years and took home a total of 13 medals.

• Their third straight Gold Medal was captured in Vancouver in 2010 with a win over the USA.
