Winter is just around the corner with its icy, snow-covered roads. This time of year offers a very special brand of fun at the wheel – if you have the necessary car control skills. The BMW Driving Experience lets you savour this intense driving pleasure at a number of sensational winter venues. And to celebrate our 30 years of partnership with the winter resort of Sölden, we have devised a special anniver-sary programme: BMW Snow Training Deluxe: 30 Years Edition. In Sölden you can look forward to action-packed driving thrills in the snow, such as on the exciting off-road courses. In the Pitztal valley, you will have the opportunity to hone your car control skills while drifting over the snow in dynamic BMW M models and surrounded by spectacular Alpine scenery. And you can also learn how to drive more safely in challenging winter conditions at the BMW and MINI Driving Academy, where young drivers benefit from the attractive Young & Family price.

Nach der Theorie zur Fahrdynamik trainieren Sie auf dem Gletscher das Anfahren in verschneiten Kurven, das Bremsen bei Talfahrten, das sichere Ausweichen und auch das anspruchsvolle Fahren mit Schneeketten. Auf dem Drift-Parcours geht es dann richtig zur Sache: Hier lernen Sie das kontrollierte Übersteuern und die perfekte Balance aus Schlupf und Vortrieb.

Here in the midst of winter Alpine scenery, you will master the art of driving over black ice and snow- covered roads in a calm and composed way. After a driving dynamics theory section, it’s off to the glacier where you will practise pulling away in snow-covered corners, braking on downhill slopes and performing evasive manoeuvres safely, and also get to grips with driving on snow chains. Then it’s time to tackle the drift course, where you will practise controlled over-steer and explore the perfect balance between slip and propulsive power.

You can look forward to two thrilling, action-packed days of pure driving pleasure. In cars fitted with spiked tyres, you will practise slick steering manoeuvres, sudden lane changes and confident driving on snow and ice. You’ll also improve your car control both uphill and downhill on the off-road course on the glacier. Finally, drifting on snow and ice will pose the greatest challenge while also offering you the ultimate in driving pleasure. Following a sporty driving training session down in the valley, it’s up to the glacier where the driving enjoyment and adrenaline will reach peak levels in every sense. But exhilarating four-wheel drifts and classic J-turns on the glacier are just one part of this magical experience.

Als absolutes Highlight erwartet Sie entweder ein festliches Dinner auf 3.048 Metern im Gourmetrestaurant ice Q (montags bis donnerstags) oder in der haubengekrönten Ötztaler Stube (freitags bis sonntags). Sie übernachten im 5-Sterne-Hotel „Das Central“, in dessen privatem Weinkeller eine exklusive Weinprobe stattfindet. Auch das Skifahren vor dem tollen Panorama der Ötztaler Bergwelt kommt nicht zu kurz: Mit dem ehemaligen vierfachen Ski-Weltcupsieger Andre Arnold ver-bessern Sie Ihr Können auf zwei Brettern. Trainieren am Gletscher.Unser Trainingsgelände liegt auf 1.700 Meter Höhe am Fuße des Pitztaler Gletschers, in der Kulisse der Tiroler Dreitausendergipfel. 3.000 m2 präparierte Flächen, wie Dynamikfelder, Drift-Oval und Handlingstrecke, bilden das perfekte Layout für maximale Fahrfreude.

The snowy paradise of Pitztal.The Pitztal valley is hidden deep in the Tyrolean Alps. It contains a string of picturesque hamlets, all famed for their authentic hospitality. Towering above them are the Pitztal Glacier and a panorama of mountain peaks, including the 3,774-metre Wildspitze. Here, on the “roof of Tyrol”, there is guar-anteed snow for the entire season, making Pitztal a highly popular destination for winter sports – skiing, ice climbing and BMW M Snow Drift Training alike.

Training on the glacier.Our training facility is sited 1,700 metres up at the foot of the Pitztal Glacier, with the Tyrol’s three-thousand-metre peaks acting as a backdrop. 3,000 m2 of specially prepared areas, including dynamic driving zones, a drift oval and a handling course, provides the perfect venue for enjoying maximum driving pleasure.

Wildspitze hotel. A jewel of the Alps.For our BMW M Snow Drift Plus Training you will be staying at the Wildspitze 4-star superior hotel, which combines rustic cosiness with a love of nature to extremely sophisticated effect. BMW M SNOW DRIFT TRAINING.Perfekt driften sieht nicht nur spektakulär aus, es macht auch riesigen Spaß. Dieser instabile Fahrzustand erfordert viel Übung, Feinarbeit und echtes Können. Bei unserem Halbtagestraining am Fuße des Pitztaler Gletschers lernen Sie schnell die grundlegende Theorie und geben danach selbst Gas. Hier trifft Fahrspaß auf Sicherheit: Denn wer weiß, wie er ein ausbrechendes Heck kontrolliert, wird auch im Straßenverkehr stets die volle Kontrolle über sein Fahrzeug behalten.

Drifting perfectly looks spectacular and is tremendous fun for the driver. But per-forming one requires a great deal of practice and fingertip control. On our half-day training course at the foot of the Pitztal Glacier, you’ll quickly learn the basic theory before taking the wheel yourself. This is where driving pleasure meets safety, as any driver who knows how to catch a sliding rear end and will be able to stay in full control of their car in day-to-day situations.

Sie lernen bewusst zu übersteuern, das driftende Fahrzeug auf Kurs zu halten, mit dem Gaspedal zu lenken und dabei den Blick richtig zu führen. Nervenkitzel und Fahrspaß sind beim Driften im Kreis, Slalom und großen Parcours garantiert. Diese neue Fahrzeugbeherrschung steigert nebenbei auch Ihre Sicherheit im normalen Straßenverkehr.

If half a day of fun-packed drifting doesn’t seem enough, you can enjoy twice the driving pleasure by doubling your time at the wheel. Our one-day training course starts with an evening of driving dynamics theory before an entire day dedicated to executing the perfect drift (with one driver per car). You will learn the knack of deliberately oversteering, keeping the drifting vehicle on the right line and steering on the throttle, all while making sure you’re look-ing where you should be. Drifting around the circle, slalom track and long course guarantees thrills and fun at the wheel aplenty. This new-found level of car control will have the added benefit of making you a safer driver in everyday traffic too.

The BMW and MINI Driving Academy just under 30 kilometres from Munich is one of Germany’s most modern driver training centres. This one-day training course is about making driving in the winter months a safe and relaxed affair, despite the cold, wet weather and slippery roads. You will be taught the fundamentals of driving theory and benefit from practical driving tips. For example, you will practise hard / emergency braking and dynamic lane changes until you are responding confidently, even when danger occurs unexpectedly. Heightening the fun factor are drills that purposefully incite understeer and oversteer, introducing par-ticipants to the art of drifting, plus slalom runs against the clock. Get safer at the wheel in time for the winter months. On this safety training course you will practise manoeuvres including braking and evasive driving. You will learn what to look out for on wet and slippery roads and how to spot hazards, and will then be able to react calmly and in a controlled manner. Following a successful first year, our newly devised BMW M Track Day will bring us together on the race track once again in 2021. This event format offers the full race-track experience as part of a driving community. Here, both BMW M customers with their own cars and BMW M Motorsport customer racing teams will be able to hone their track-driving skills and indulge their passion for motor sport. The BMW Driving Experience and BMW M Customer Racing work closely on this event and have pooled together their unbeatable power to ensure maximum driving pleasure.

The range shown considers the different sizes of the selected wheels/tyres. With respect to these vehicles, for vehicle-related taxes or other duties based (at least inter alia) on CO2 emissions, the CO2 values may differ from the values stated here (depending on national legislation).
