NoteonWirelessCommunication(RadioWave)WirelessLANandRadioAct•ThiswirelessLANinterfacehasconstructiondesigncertification.Therefore,applicationforthelicenceisnotnecessary.•Thisproductiscertifiedtomeetthetechnicalstandardasawirelessfacilityofaspecifiedlow-powerradiostationbasedontheRadioAct.Therefore,aradiostationlicenceisnotnecessarywhenusingthisproduct.

● WirelessLANmaybesubjecttowiretappingormaliciousaccessbecauseittransmitsandreceivesdatausingradiowaves.BeforeusingwirelessLAN,thoroughlyunderstandtherisk.Inaddition,managetheSSIDandKEYofthewirelessLANinterfaceandwirelessLANrouterandalsothelog-inIDandpasswordforoperationawayfromhomesoastopreventthemfrombeingknownbyotherpeople. Intheeventthattheproductisoperatedawayfromhomebymaliciousaccess,turnOFFthefunctionofthewirelessLANinterface.

● Thisproductcannotbeconnecteddirectlytocommunicationlinesprovidedbytelecommunicationcarriers.Whenconnectingthisproducttothe Internet, be sure to connect it to the Internet via a router.

● Ifabarrierthatbarelytransmitsaradiowave(suchasmetalandreinforcedconcrete)existsbetweenthisproductandawirelessLANrouter,theproductmaynotoperatebecauseitmayreceiveradiowavenoisesortheradiowavereachingdistancemaybeshortened.

● Radiowavestransmittedfromthisproducthaveextremelylittleimpactonmedicalelectricaldevices.However,keepadistanceof20cmormorefromsuchadevice(pacemaker-installedpart,etc.)forsafemanagementwhenusingtheproduct.

● UseofthisproductnearadeviceemittingelectricwavessuchasamicrowaveovenandcordlessphonemayaffectcommunicationviawirelessLAN.Iftheproductfailstocommunicateproperly,orifacordless phone fails to send/receive a call properly, be sure to use the productandthephoneatleast1metreawayfromeachother.

3.Connecttheairconditionertothenetwork.PleasedisplaytheAirConditionerListscreenaccordingtotheSmartM-AirOperationManual.

(1) PressthePowerbuttonfor2secondsormoreonthewirelessLANinterface.ThepowerisswitchedfromOFFtoON,andtheRunningLEDstaysON.

(2) PresstheSetbuttonforlessthan2secondstoenterWPSmode.ConfirmthattheRunningLEDflashes(everysecond).•Performthefollowingsettingwithin2minutes.If2minuteshaspassed,performtheprocedureagainfrom(1).*TheWPSandAPmodescannotbeswitched.Therefore,ifyoufailtosetthemode,waitfor2minutes(5minutesinAPmode)beforeperformingthe setting again.

(3) PresstheWPSbuttonontherouter*.Thebuttonsgenerallylooklikethis .•TheoperationmethodoftheWPSbuttondiffersdepending on the router. For details, refer to the manualprovidedwiththerouter.*IfanautomaticconnectionfunctionotherthantheWPSfunctionisused,operatetheautomaticconnectionbuttonbyreferringtothemanualprovidedwiththerouter.

(4) Whentheconnectioniscomplete,theCommunicationLEDlightsupfor2seconds.Starttheapplicationandtapthe“FindunregisteredAirConditioners”buttonontheairconditionerlistscreen.•Confirmthataniconoftheunregisteredairconditionerisadded.Ifitisnotdisplayed,confirmagainthatsteps(1)to(3)havebeenperformedproperly.*Ifitisnotconnected,waitatleasttwominutesandwaituntilthegreenLEDlightsupallthetime,tryagainfrom(2).•Confirmthatthelast4digitsoftheSSIDlabelledonthewirelessLANinterfaceisdisplayedasthenameoftheairconditioner.

WirelessLANrouterNOTequippedwithWPSfunction•IfthewirelessLANrouterisnotequippedwiththeWPSfunction,usetheprocedurebelowtoconnectthewirelessLANrouterinterface.

(1) PressthePowerbuttonfor2secondsormoreonthewirelessLANinterface.ThepowerisswitchedfromOFFtoON,andtheRunningLEDstaysON.

(2) PresstheSetbuttonfor2secondsormoretoenterAPmode.ConfirmthattheRunningLEDflashes(ONfor2secondsandthenOFFfor0.5second).•Performtheabovewithin5minutes.If5minuteshaspassed,performtheprocedureagainfrom(1).*TheWPSandAPmodescannotbeswitched.Therefore,ifyoufailtosetthemode,waitfor2minutes(5minutesinAPmode)beforeperformingthe setting again.

(3) ConnectthesmartphonetothewirelessLANinterface. OpentheWi-Fisettingofthesmartphone. SelecttheSSIDlabelledonthewirelessLANinterface,andentertheKEY(password)indicatedonthelabel.

(4) Starttheapplicationandtapthe“FindunregisteredAirConditioners”button on the air conditioner list screen.•Confirmthataniconoftheunregisteredairconditionerisadded.•Confirmthatthelast4digitsoftheSSIDlabelledonthewirelessLANinterfaceisdisplayedasthenameoftheairconditioner.

(5) SelectthewirelessLANroutertowhichthesmartphoneisconnectedonthewirelessLANsettingscreenoftheapplication.•IfthewirelessLANrouterisnotdisplayedonthelist,entertheSSIDandKEY(password)ofthewirelessLANrouterdirectly.

(6)Whentheconnectioniscomplete,theCommunicationLEDlightsupfor2seconds.TheconnectionbetweenthewirelessLANinterfaceandthewirelessLANrouterisestablished. Confirmthattheairconditionerisaddedonthelistscreen.Ifitisnotdisplayed,confirmagainthatsteps(1)to(5)havebeenperformedproperly.*Ifyoufailtoconnectevenafterconfirmingthescreenagain,thenumberofdevicesconnectedwiththewirelessLANroutermayhavereacheditsupperlimit,ortheroutermaynotbeoperatingormayhavefailed.Therefore,checkthewirelessLANrouteraccordingtotheuser’smanualof the router.

4.Starttheapplicationandoperatetheairconditionerathome(awayfromhome).•Settingiscompleteiftheconnectedairconditionerisdisplayedontheequipmentlistscreen. If it is not displayed, update the screen bytappingthe“FindunregisteredAirConditioners”buttononthe“AirConditionerList”screen.

•Tooperatetheconnectedairconditionerawayfromhome,openthe“ApplicationSettings”screenonthemainmenu,andswitchtothe“Remoteoperationmode”onthe“SwitchOperationModes”screen.Alog-inIDandpasswordmustbeset.The settingoperationcanbeperformedonlyathome.

● InitialisingwirelessLANinterface•PresstheResetbuttonfor3secondsormore,andtheRunningLEDandCommunicationLEDflash10timesfor10seconds,thenitisinitialised.Iftheinterfaceisreset,itisneededtosetaloginIDandpasswordagain.

● Moving or disposing of the air conditioner, necessary changing of the user•BesuretoresetthewirelessLANinterface(bypressingtheResetbuttonfor3secondsormore).

● Disposingofthisproduct•Followtheordinancesestablishedbyyourlocalgovernment.

● Cleaningtheproduct:unplugtheairconditionerandwipewithasoftdrycloth.Iftheproductisdirty,wipewithacloththatismoistenedwithlukewarmwaterandwrungsufficiently.Whenusingachemicaldustcloth,followitsprecautions.
