IntroductionCurrently the world is going to change and in the power system the grid changed into smart grid and now the working is running on wireless smart grid.A smart grid is a modernized electrical grid that uses information and communications technology to gather and act on information, such as information about the behaviours of suppliers and consumers, in an automated fashion to improve the efficiency, reliability, economics, and sustainability of the production and distribution of electricity.

Traditional gridThe main difference between a traditional grid and a smart grid is that the latter relies more on communication between consumers, suppliers, and smart Devices and applications. The power and information networks shall integrated into Smart Grid network for bidirectional Data flow, control flow and energy flow. In the sense the working is running on the particular sector.

Wireless smart gridWireless Smart Grid consists of four main components: •An information network containing Power Meters • Intelligent Power Switch (IPS) •Energy supplier (main supply, and renewable energy source as solar panel and wind turbine) • Energy demander (e.g. appliances)

Power networkThe overview of the power grid, using IPS, which is a device that can reroute power flow from one input to another.

Power meter designing Power meter is another important component in the proposed Smart Grid Lab test bed. It can measure how much current is flowing in the test line.

Page 9: Wireless smart grid

AdvantagesReliable energy supply with multiple intermittent sources Price driven demand response with multiple flows. Management of Intermittent Power Supplies. Disruption resilience with self-healing. Flow balance using multiple paths.

Disadvantages This system is too costly and the power system can not afford it. In the IPS, the system may be fail during the bad weather condition and then problem will occurs. The system when damaged then it goes for long time then problems be occurs in the world.

CONCLUSION Intelligent Power Switch (IPS), different sources of

power supply, energy demander, and power Meter.IPS enables the power grid to be configured

as any kind of topology, and the power meter senses the energy flow on each line and reports the data. The information network is co-designed with

power network. Smart Grid Lab can significantly help researchers to analyze, evaluate and compare

various algorithms and protocols developed for smart grids.
