“For the past eight years, I have been creatinginstallations composed of insects pinned directly toa wall in repeating patterns which reference bothtextiles and wallpaper. A tension is created by thebeauty one observes in the pattern and theapprehension we feel toward insects. Ultimately,I am attempting to create a multilayered work inwhich pattern is the vehicle. My work is dependentupon the supposition that there is a cultural under-standing of pattern. That understanding provides aframework or potential for a narrative.”

Advertising a Fair

All art and craft fairs held in the state of Wisconsin and opento the general public are eligible for inclusion in thisdirectory. In order to be included in the directory, eventsponsors must submit both an application and a listing fee tothe Wisconsin Arts Board. (Listing fees currently range from$25-$250 and are calculated according to a formula providedon our website at www.artsboard.wisconsin.gov)

Applications may be submitted online in the months ofSeptember and October. To be notified when the applicationis available, contact the Wisconsin Arts Board and have youremail address added to the mailing list.
