Wayzata Public Schools CommunityEducation is proud to present the Fall 2012session of WISHES Youth Enrichment. TheWISHES Youth Enrichment program providesstudents with fun, after school enrichmentopportunities that are designed to enhanceyour child’s educational experience, as well asstimulate new interests in hobbies and recreational activities.

Please note the location of each class. WISHES classes will be held at multiple loca-tions. Students may attend classes in any building. Transportation is NOT provided.When registering for a class, please note the time to be sure it does not interfere with yourchild’s school day.

Learn to create 3D games and challengeyour friends on an Xbox 360 or aWindows PC. Kodu, Microsoft’s award-winning game design platform, is a newvisual programming language that runsboth on the Xbox 360 and WindowsPC. We will be creating games for thePC version using Xbox controllers.Students working in pairs will learn theart of rapid game design and develop anunderstanding of underlying gamemechanics. Skateboard Camps Provided by3rd Lair Skate Park – Fun option for non-school days!Grades 1-8

3rd Lair Skateboard Camps are designed for all ages and abilities. We teach thebasics of skateboarding as well as help more advanced individuals take theirskating to the next level.

Our professional instructors share their love of the sport in a fun and supportiveenvironment designed to foster confidence and build skills. Skateboard Camps runfrom 9:00 am to noon with complimentary open skate after camp until the parkcloses - a whole day of fun! We provide any equipment and pads you need free ofcharge. Our camps provide small group instruction based on skill level so everyonefeels comfortable, supported and challenged.

Price: $45 per day of camp, includes instruction from 9:00 am to 12 noon, openskate hours after camp, equipment and pads.

* If your child is in Home Base, it is the responsibility of the parent to notify them thatyour child will be attending a WISHES Youth Enrichment class.

Confirmations/WaitlistYou will receive an email confirmation ONLY if you provide an email address when youregister online. Otherwise, assume you are in the class unless you hear from us. If youwaitlist your child, you will be called ONLY if a spot becomes available.

Cancellations• You will receive a full refund, if you cancel 3 business days (M-F) before the

class starts.

• NO Refunds will be issued the day of the class or after the class starts.

• We reserve the right to cancel classes due to low enrollment.

• Inclement Weather: If school is canceled or dismissed early due to severe weather,WISHES classes will be canceled.

Destination ImaginationDestination ImagiNation is a worldwide creative problem solvingcompetition for kids. Teams of six to seven members work together to usecreativity and critical thinking skills to solve challenges without assistancefrom adults or any other non-team members.

Students develop leadership, performing, writing, technical, building andteamwork skills as they develop creative solutions! The team chooses oneout of five Team Challenges to solve over a 12–16 week period and thenpresents their solution at a regional tournament. The team also solves oneInstant Challenge at the tournament. Each Team Challenge is designed to beopen-ended and solvable in many ways and on many levels.
