What Global Skills will enable: Reduction of Risk: A business, staff member or a facility exposed to risk is vulnerable. Global Skills’ approach will give back control and empower. Increased Effectiveness: Business and personnel cannot operate at optimum levels if there are concerns over potential risks. Global Skills ensures business and personnel are properly prepared and comfortable with their control over the risk environment. Protection of Assets: Your investment in knowledge, facilities, personnel or financial form is at risk of compromise and consequent loss if not properly protected. Global Skills will assist in ensuring critical assets are identified and all are effectively protected in relation to any commercial or threat environment. Financial Benefits: There are many financial benefits to be derived from a holistic approach and effective application of risk mitigation: reduced number of days lost through incident, reduced turnover of personnel, beneficial insurance terms and more. Duty of Care: While duty of care is a legal obligation it also makes good common and commercial sense. Our results show that improved employee relations result - with the consequent benefits - from that commitment to protect them. Competitive Edge: The self-interested drive for greater profit need not contradict a highly developed sense of corporate social responsibility or duty of care. It is our developed view that the Global Skills approach can lead to 'risk management', normally viewed as a cost centre, becoming an added value component of the business culture and contributing to the bottom line. Peace of Mind: Knowing and being confident that Global Skills, as a partner, is looking after your interests will free you from the concerns of risk exposure and enable you to focus on your core business. With over 50 years of combined business experience, Global Skills is a partnership between Andrew Kain Enterprises Ltd & the Almegerab Family. This partnership forms the foundation of two very unique and professional entities. The objective of Global Skills is to provide business service support that complements both Libyan and international enterprises and corporations. From a fully registered and legal framework Global Skills can support your industry and maximise financial efficiency, duty of care, training provision through accredited bodies and consultancy services.

At AKE & Global Skills we know it is not always logistically or

commercially possible to gather your personnel for training

ahead of deployment. With this in mind and the knowledge

that organisations operational in Libya have a local training

requirement, we are delighted to be holding our inaugural

One-Day Travel Safety Training course in Tripoli.

This popular course is run regularly by AKE in the UK and

attracts students from a diverse range of sectors including the

energy and extractive industries, educational establishments,

engineering and construction sectors and media

organisations.

Our experience has shown that many personnel operational in

Libya are also travelling regionally and internationally. Recent

global events have highlighted that the thorough preparation

of employees for travel to distant and often difficult locations is

of paramount importance and training remains an integral part

of this preparation.

Knowing what risks are real and how to mitigate them can

alleviate fears, increase productivity, demonstrate duty of care

and reduce the cost of doing business and working in some of

the world’s more challenging operating environments.

The course covers such salient topics as:

Planning/Self-Sufficiency; Health Risks; Cultural Awareness &

Managing Conflict; Hostage Survival; Personal Security

Principles

Course cost:

$450 per person (inclusive of all course materials, lunch, refreshments and certificate)

A discounted rate of $425 is offered to members of the Libya British Business Council (LBBC), Africa Business Centre (ABC) and IESTA. Clients of the ATP are also offered this discounted rate.
