Continue to the Basilica di San Lorenzo, onceoutside the city walls and home church of the Medici family. The church islavished with an interior design from Michelangelo and other Renaissanceartists. Walk through the Santa Maria del Carmine Church, whose interiorsreflect various art periods from the 12th Century on, thanks to portions ofthe church being rebuilt after several fires.
