This proud, prosperous and ancient city is one of Sicily’s baroque gems. The main street ‘Il Corso’, is a typical Italian meeting place with cafés and majestic buildings. The church of San Giorgio is an impressive monument, built after the earthquake of 1693, surrounded by a flight of 250 steps to further enhance the scenic beauty of its fine façade.

MODICAMT. ETNA

The largest and most active volcano in Europe. The climb to the crater takes us through picturesque villages and an ever changing landscape. The lower slopes of the volcano are extremely fertile with groves of oranges, lemons and other Mediterranean flora and of course vines which produce Sicily’s best wines. We go through forests of chestnut trees which gradually give way to oak, beech, birch and pine.

• SYRACUSE – has come to epitomize Greek culture in Sicily, Magna Grecia. The Duomo, in the old city Ortigia, is a converted Greek temple, one of the oldest places of worship worldwide and equally as unique.

• Departure for a typical Sicilian lunch included in the price (20 types of antipasto, pasta with sauce, local meat, fruit, water, wine, coffee and liquor) at Agriturismo Milo.

• Our last stop is Marzamemi, where we will visit the village and the Campisi establishment, famous for its’ preserves. Campisi is a leading manufacturer in the sector of fish products: fish eggs, raw tuna (bottarga), red tuna, traditional Sicilian sauces, preserves made from the famous Pachino tomatoes cultivated only in this area of Sicily.

ACCOMPANIED PETS• Passengers must declare pets at

booking stage and ensure that pets have a valid pet passport together with all the necessary vaccination certificates and all other documents. Upon boarding passengers must also notify vessel’s crew that they are carrying pets. Pets are not allowed on coach transfers (except guide dogs). We suggest you choose a sailing time which is best suited to your pet’s needs. The best time of day would be evenings or first thing in the morning when temperature is cooler.

• The Company offers three different options when travelling with pets.

1. Pet Cabin: Pets can travel in an air conditioned & insulated pet cabin situated at the vessel’s vehicle garage level. Cages in the pet cabin are supplied by the company. Water / food to be supplied by pet owner. Pets are accepted in the pet cabin at a charge. Please view company fares. Pre booking is a must as space in pet cabin is limited.2. Pets in Vehicles: Pets must be kept inside the car with open windows. There is no charge for the first two pets in a vehicle. Please view company fares.3. Small pets on outside deck*: Small pets (cats and dogs only) carried in an appropriate leak proof pet cage with a maximum weight, including cage, of 9 kilos and of maximum size 48 cms x 35 cms x 35 cms may be placed, at a charge, on the outside passenger deck in the area allocated for pets. Pets on the outside passenger deck must be accompanied by the owner throughout the voyage and at no time are pets allowed outside their

cage. Carriage of pets on the outside passenger deck is at the discretion of the Master. In case of inclement weather pets will not be allowed on the outside passenger deck and must travel in the garage.• Pets are not allowed in the

passenger saloons or in any of the passenger common areas (except for guide dogs). The Company reserves the right to refuse boarding of pets on both the outside decks and garage deck on any given voyage. At the discretion of the Master, passengers may be allowed to visit their pets in the garage during the voyage and will be accompanied by a crew member. The owner is to ensure that the pet is fit for travel also keeping in mind the possibility of inclement weather. The Company is not responsible for the well being of the pet, transportation of pets is at owner’s risk and responsibility.
