Please read, sign, and return ALL forms and cards your child brought home this week. Return information to teacher by Wednesday, September 7 th . BTS means Back to School. These are introductory worksheets to second grade and are part of our community building. HOMEWORK FOLDER : Return the folder each day with: assignment sheet, journal, reading log and writing prompts. Keep the homework folder clutter-free. Thank you. Please sign/initial the front of your child’s assignment sheet and reading log each day. This will let me know that you are aware of nightly homework and that your child is reading, writing, and completing math assignments. Reading logs, homework sheets, and journals will be checked regularly and it is important to your child’s reading improvement to read a variety of texts throughout the week. Students who are not reading at night will be asked to read during recess. As we enter another school year, it is important to resume healthy habits so we can spend our time at school maximizing the learning time available. In order to do this, it is important for students to get plenty of rest at night, eat three healthy meals a day, and have a routine in the afternoons and evenings established for getting homework completed and put back in backpacks. Thank you support! NO PEANUTS or PEANUT PRODUCTS can be eaten at school due to severe peanut allergies on campus. Behavior: This is how I learned today… (Green) = I was very involved and listened attentively. I had a great day! (Yellow) = I was just involved and struggled to listen attentively. I had more than 5 warnings. (Red) = I didn’t come to school to be a better reader, writer, listener or thinker. I had a sad day. Spelling List Monday: write words 4 times each Tuesday: write words in ABC order Wednesday: Write 4 or 5 sentences using some or a few of the spelling words.
