CHEMTREX®WMB SERIES Melt Blown CartridgesChemtrex® cartridges are manufactured with leading edge manufacturing technology for optimal performances and effi ciencies. Gradient depth fi ltration is achieved with our technically advanced design. The higher density inner “zone” forms a rigid support structure, eliminating a center core for improved fl ow characteristics. (Center cores are available for high temp or high psid)

Chemtrex® cartridges function as a true depth fi lter, removing larger particles or binding type solids within the outer zone, then capturing fi ner particulates in the second and third inner zones. The gradient density extends fi lter life to maximize dirt holding capacity with minimal change-outs.

Chemtrex® melt blown fi lter cartridges are made of pure fi rst generation polypropylene resin meeting FDA regulation 21CFR177.1520. No binders, lubricants or antistatic agents are used in our manufacturing process. Chemtrex® melt blown polypropylene fi lters are manufactured, tested and certifi ed under NSF/ANSI 61 standards. The inert polypropylene resin provides exceptional chemical compatibility to handle a wide range of process fl uids.

Chemtrex® cartridges are designed for knife-edge seal housings to provide a positive seal without the use of end caps or gaskets (EPDM or Viton® gaskets are available) Chemtrex® cartridges are fully interchangeable with most standard pleated, string wound and other melt blown cartridges.

Chemtrex® cartridges are designed to provide high fl ow rates with minimum pressure drop. Flow rates of up to 5 gpm (19 LPM) per 10” length are recommended and should not exceed 10 gpm (38 LPM) per 10” length for optimal effi ciency. The maximum operating temperature is 175 °F (80 °C).

Triple gradient depth fi ltration is achieved with our latest technology fi ber production. This design allows us to create three distinct fi lter zones. Larger particles are trapped and fi ltered out in the outer zone and the smaller particles are trapped in the inner zones. The tighter matrix of the inner zone also provides exceptional strength and functions as a self-supporting core, eliminating the need for a separate center core. Triple gradient design allows for optimum dirt holding capacity and minimal change-outs.
