Over a period of 30 years, WoodCare Denmark A/S has developed and extended its range of wood care products. We put maximum emphasis on product functio­nality in a fi ne integrated balance. Our product development is focusing on:

Functionality – the products are constantly optimised for their functionality through regular testing and in a close co­operation with craftsmen in the fi eld of wood fl oors, garden furniture, and woodwork generally.

Logical ranges – the products are developed and improved in series, which are interlinked for specifi c areas of applications.

Environment – the products are based on natural raw materials excluding artifi ­cial colour pigments, perfumes, or preservatives ensuring a highly environmental profi le.

St. Pancras Railway Station – Eurostar, UK

St. Pancras Railway Station is a ma­

jor railway station which was ope­

ned in 1868 and was highly praised

for its architecture. The station is si­

tuated in the St. Pancras area in cen­

tral London between British Library

and King’s Cross Station.

Around year 2007, the building was

renovated, extended, and reopened

with a new, high security terminal

area for the Eurostar train for conti­

nental Europe. The whole station is

known as St. Pancras International.

The Kings of Jelling, Jelling, DK

The Kings’ Jelling – a new historical

museum in Jelling, Denmark – vi­

talise the history about the Jelling

monuments and King Harald, who

united the kingdom and Christia­

nised the Danes. In cooperation with

appointed architects, Trip Trap Den­

mark produced the oak wood floors

especially for this project. The wide,

white oiled planks are mounted

with plugged screws and grey rub­

ber joint filler. Specially cut planks

twine in double boarding along the

walls, stairways, and pillars. A floor

heating system was installed in the

floor construction. The floor is clea­

ning and maintenance is made with

WOCA products.

The frieze solution required specially desig­ned planks.

The wiring hatch is an integrated part of the floor solution.

The wide white oiled planks are mounted with plugged screws and grey rubber joint fillings.

The old shipyard of Holmen, DK

The shipyard of Holmen, designed

by architect C.T. Andersen and built

1866­67, was renovated and forms

the frame of 18 exclusive privately

owned flats. The beautifully situated

building with its distinctive wood

construction is gently renovated with

respect for traditions and the impres­

sive craftsmanship.

Trip Tap Denmark supplied 1550

square metre solid had wood planks

in oak, which after installation was

treated with WOCA Master Oil White

as well as 700 square metre solid

pine wood plank floors which was

pre­finished with lye and oil.

The convector grating is integrated in the floor.

The beautifully newly renovated shipyard building at Snedkergraven canal.

The white pigmented oil lends a special ap­pearance to the oak wood.

The light ash planks contribute to the ple­asant surroundings – also in areas where daylight is flooding in.

Hillerød Library, DK

For Hillerød Library, the client and

the architect chose jointly solid

wood plank floors in ash. The light

plank floors binds the library’s 2000

square metre together in a bout

elegant and discreet way. On the

1st floor, where low floor to ceiling

height was required, a floating par­

quet of 14mm Trip Trap engineered

plank floor in ash was installed. The

surface appearance is equal to the

solid wood plank floor. The floors are

finished with white pigmented oil.

In the old brewery area at Tuborg

Harbour, Hellerup, a new neighbour­

hood is forming and characterised

by both quality indoors and out­

doors. The floors, supplied by Trip

Trap Denmark for both the privately

owned flats and the adjoining bal­

conies, emphasises the connection

between the habitation and the sur­

roundings.

The Dolder Grand, Zürich, Switzerland

A city resort of luxury class awaits

guests who sign in at the Dolder

Grand. The categories of the 173

rooms and suites range from single

rooms to deluxe rooms and suites

variously dimensioned and appoin­

ted. Four top suites aim to cater for

individual extravagance. Largest of

the top suites is the Maestro, hou­

sed in the tower of the historic Main

Building. A stay here, on two floors

totalling 400 square metres, inclu­

ding lounge­terrace, is bound to be

a memorable experience.

Symbiosis of tradition and modernity

Leading London architects Foster and

Partners have combined the Dolder

Grand’s historic Main Building with the

innovations of modern architecture.

Interior architects United Designers,

also from London, have shaped new

living spaces.
