One Day Entrepreneurship Awareness Program

(2016-2017)

One Day Entrepreneurship awareness Programme was conducted by the

central palmgur and palm product institute, Khadhi and village industries

commission, M/O MSME, Govt of India, on 26.08.2016 from 10 a.m to 1 pm.

Nearly 120 students attended from various courses and enriched by the

seminar on Entrepreneurship awareness programme. Various training

programme were discussed by Mr. R. Muthuswamy, Training officer CPPI, KVI,

Chennai, And Mr. I.S. Raju Ast. Training Officer.

Imitation Jewellery Training Programme

(2016-2017)

Women development Cell conducted Imitation Jewellery Training

Programme for 5 days from 29.08.16 to 02.09.2016 in collaboration with

Central Palmgur and Palm Producteds Institute, Kadhi and Village Industries

commission, M/O MSME Govt. of India.

The Programme Inaugarated on 29.08.2016 at 10.00 a.m in Beauty

academy hall. Prof. R. Banumathy co-ordinator of WDC presented welcome

address. On 02.09.2016, valedictory function was held at 3 p.m Dr. P.N Sudha,

Prinicipal DKM college for women presided the function and distributed the

certificates to the students. 38 students from various department of aided and

unaided stream participated and benefited from this programme.

Mr. R. Banumathy Associate Prof of Economics and Coordinator of WDC

presented Vote of thanks, with this the programme came to an end with the

great success.

ARTIFICIAL JEWELLARY MAKING TRAINING PROGRAM

Women Development Cell conducted Artificial Jewellery Making Training

program for 3 days from 15th December 2016 to 17th December 2016 in

collaboration with District Supply and Marketing Society (DSMS), Vellore. The

programme inaugurated on 15/12/2016 at 10 am in beauty academy hall, Dr.

Banumathy Co-coordinator of WDC presented welcome address.

On 17/12/2016 valedictory function was held at 3 p.m .Dr. P.N. Sudha,

Principal D.K.M college for women presided the function and distributed the

certificates to the students. 40 students from various department of unaided

stream participated and benefitted from this skill training programme.

Dr. R. Banumathy Associated professor of Economics and co-coordinator

of WDC presented vote of thanks. With this the program ended with great

success.

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY CELEBRATION

08.03.2017

International women’s day Organised by Women Development Cell on 08-

03-2017 at 2.00pm with prayer song and lamp lightening by the chief guests.

Welcome address was presented by Tmt. A.Thendralarasi Assistant Professor of

Psychology and WDC Corordinator. Presidential address was given by Dr.Prabha,

Head, Department of Biochemistry., DKMC. DKM College and ADF Vellore

jointly honored Mrs.Maliga Chandran, correspondent of Trinity higher secondary

school, Ms.Chaarvi Sanu Assistant Professor of Mathematics, Anamalaiyar college

of Engineering, Mrs.Govindammal parent Kowsalya of English Department,

D.K.M college, with women achievement award by Mr.Dhinesh Gajendran,

catalyst & executive director of Audacious Dreams foundation for their

achievements.

Followed by key note was delivered by Mrs.Maliga Chandran founder of

WHEEL trust & correspondent of Trinity school, Vellore. She shared her

experience to the students which was highly encouraging. Ms.Chaarvi Sanu

Assistant professor of mathematics in Annamalaiyar college of Engineering and

writer, shared various services done by her and she encouraged students to involve

in services that will empower them and others. Mrs.Govindaammal parent of

Kowsalya UG final year English shared her experience as a single mother how she

brought up her child in mist of struggles. And then by Mr.Dhinesh Gajendran

executive & catalyst of Audacious dreams foundation gave Felicitation speech

The celebration continued with cultural program by VIP Volunteers of DKM

college students. The program came to an end with vote of thanks given by Mr.

Mathivanan, ADF and National Anthem.

Cosmetology Certificate Course 2016-2017

Women Development Cell inaugurated Cosmetology Certificate Course on

11-01-2017 in Collaboration with Angel Beauty Parlour Academy for the aided

and unaided students. Dr.S.Mythili Associate Professor and Head, Department

of Commerce inaugurated the certificate course.

Students from Aided and Unaided registered for the Basic course were 18 and

19 respectively. Two students from aided registered for the Advanced course.

For the aided students classes were in the afternoon session and for the

unaided students classes were in the morning session for 8days.

Valedictory function conducted on 18-03-2017 at 11a.m. Dr.R.Banumathy

Coordinator of WDC presented welcome address Dr.P.N. Sudha Principal

presided the Function and the Chief Guest Mrs.V.Andal Proprietor of Angel

Beauty Parlour Academy distributed Certificates to the students. Feedback

collected from all the students. Mrs. A.Thenralarasi, Assistant Professor of

Psychology proposed vote of thanks. The programme ended with National

Anthem.
