Women of the World brings musicians from across the globeonto a common platform to collaborate and create,

not only through the sharing of music, but also to explore andcelebrate the differences in ideologies and cultural tenetsthat exist in the daily lives of women all over the world.

Since 2008, Women of the World has built up a repertoire spanning 26 languages, performed by an international family representing

Japan, India, Italy, Haiti, Brazil, Mexico, Serbia, Kenya, Nigeria, and the United States of America.

Our commitment to create harmony in our communitieshas taken us to many different parts of the world,

allowing us to collaborate with sometruly inspiring organizations and leaders.

We were honored to inaugurate the 25th year anniversary of the

Women’s Refugee Commission with iconic actress, Meryl Streep, the keynote speaker

Women of the World in Japan (Aug 2012) conducting a workshop withthe children’s choir that was to perform with us in Kumamoto.

We also participated in the Summer Festival of Kitaibaraki, one of theworst 2011 Tsunami and earthquake affected regions in Japan.

After a music therapy workshop at the Kennedy Day School forstudents, ages 3 to 22, with multiple, intensive special needs and

challenges. A truly inspiring, and incredible learning experience for us.

Performing interactive concerts at the 92nd Street Y in New York fortheir artist residence series. We played 5 concerts, interacting and

making music with 4,500 students from all over NYC.

With every collaboration, there is so much to share – not just musically,but also awareness about important global issues. In February 2013,

Women of the World presented a multi-art production, “Koloro”, whichfeatured a World Peace Choir, dancers, and guest artists from the

Berklee community.

The concert was in support of the “Because I am A Girl” movement (runby PLAN) dedicated to empowering women and girls worldwide by

promoting gender equality and girls rights.

There is so much to be grateful for.So much to learn, share, and experience.

Peace is not just a dream. Or a distant reality.

Peace is possible. But it’s up to each one of us to start practicing it daily.
