Instructions• Welcome to The Game of Life Balance. As we go about our busy lives, we all have different experiences – some good, some not so good.
How do we approach them? How do we learn from them? This game simulates a year in a person’s life as we engage with others, try to succeed, sometimes fail, but always learn.
• This game is intended as an ice breaker or teambuilding exercise. • The objective is not to earn the most money, but to discuss the options available in our pursuit to balance our lives. This is accomplished by
players sharing their experiences with the situations that are addressed by the problem cards.
• 2 – 4 players• 18+ to play• One die• Tokens for each player• One player will be the designated banker.• Each player will be given $1000 monthly salary to start off; $1000 more each time the player passes GO.• Each player will roll a die to see who goes first. Play will rotate clockwise.• Chance – draw the top card and read the instructions aloud. Follow the directions. When completed, replace the card on the bottom of the
deck.• Problem – draw the top card and read the instructions aloud. Follow the directions. When completed, replace the card on the bottom of the
deck.• Players designate a time limit for the length of play, i.e. 15 minutes, 30 minutes, etc. • Place $100 in the Raise designated area and maintain this level.• Place $50 in the Bonus designated area and it will be replenished as play proceeds• Bonus space will maintain $200• Raise space will maintain $100
