Women Welfare Cell Women welfare cell welcomes all the lady students and staff members of SVKT Arts Science and commerce college Deolali camp Nashik., headed by Dr.J.P.Jadhav with team members,,aims for overall development of the girl students and lady staff members while providing a very safe and cordial work environment. Vision -Assurance of justice and equity in society to women by extending academic, financial, emotional and moral support is the focal point of the vision of the institution. Misson--To explore, design and implement ways to bring change in the society and concur to the freedom feminism and Cell shall strive to create a better and just society by empowering women. College aims to maintain a gender equity and Social equity in imparting education. The college imparts quality education to develop

women leaders and professionals to be academically & socially competent. Following are the policies of the college with regard to

gender sensitization:

The college will actively seek the input on the needs of the Faculty and students. Create awareness about the gender imbalance in education and innovation. Educate the students on the gender imbalance that prevails worldwide for reasons of safety and security. The college will take all measures to enlighten the students on Women Empowerment and Gender Sensitization. The college will maintain a healthy environment and takes the necessary initiatives for the growth and development of its students Women welfare Cell, Anti Ragging Committee, Grievance Redressal Committee and Sexual Harassment Cell are constituted as per norms

laid by university/UGC/ Government. The functions of the committees will be displayed on the website of the college and information is to be disseminated to the students through orientation and induction programs.

Awareness programs like importance of human rights, Rights of Women to be organized periodically. The college students union under the headship of the Union Advisor will organize Anti ragging programmes as well as various

sensitization programmes ranging from women empowerment including gender discrimination to sexual harassment at work place, health issues and soon.

About Women Welfare Cell

Women empowerment is a part to encourage women to feel strong by telling them that they can do everything that they want to do. Empowering women is to give women equals rights. Women can have equal right to participate in education, society, economy and politics. Vidyarthini Manch is a forum that helps to stimulate the confidence in women by providing them everything to help them see the skills that they contain and are dormant within them. A proper nurturing, polishing and sharpening of those skills is only made possible through better education, awareness and a space to freely express oneself.

College organised following sessions to empower and encourage the female students of our college. All these programmes help to create awareness among girl students about physical and mental health. These programmes develop self-confidence as well as all round personality of the female students our college.
